Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box

Anyone with retail tried the bikes? Kinda disappointed that there isn't a ragdoll human to watch fly through the air, and also very little damage on the bike itself. No boost on them either :S
 
Ok mine runs at 60fps, but very occassionly I get fps drops (fraps shows it dropping to about 55fps, but it feels more of a drop than that). I notice them the most when going fast, say on the bike, in built up areas with a fair few AI cars around.

I'm not sure if it's frame buffer related, HDD access related etc.. Anyone else get the same ? It's only minor, but you notice it in this type of game. Particularly as the PS3 managed 60fps at all times albeit at lower resolution/quality.

I'm on 9.1 Cats, Vista x64, 4870 512MB
 
very impressed i have to say. the engine is really well tuned and runs great on my system :)

Can see me wasting a lot of time on this!!!
 
Noooooo it didn't arrive :( A certain Jersey based company said it was dispatched yesterday but it's not here :(

Maybe tomorrow? *Hopes*

i honestly dont get this game at all! i stop at traffic light press acceleration and brake and nothing happens :/ i go online and its just 8 people going up and down same road trying to go head on into each other

not very fun at all up to yet, could someone give me any clue or is it just a no hoper?
 
HOLD brake and accelerate. As for online, select to join a ranked match. The host then has to initiate a race. Alternately, set up a ranked game yourself.

u need to press them at the same time to get a burnout then it will start :)

Usually takes a number of working days from there in my experience, and with the winter weather I wouldn't hold your breath for getting it tomorrow either.
 
To get the 'xbox 360 icons' to appear, do I have to use the official MS drivers? or will they work with XBCD aswell.

About to do a complete reinstall to remove various crap, and want to know if it's worth sticking the XBCD drivers back on or the official ones for this game, and a few others that are very XBOX360 controller friendly...
 
Not too sure about the XBCD drivers, but the game works fine for me with the default 360 pad drivers. Saying that though, I haven't found a game that doesn't.
 
Working fine with the XBCD drivers here. But you need to go in and manually add them all. Took me a few mins to figure out as the menu is fairly unintuitive, but basically you click beside the existing keybinds to add an additional key, then press left right etc on your pad to add them all.

Wish MS would fix the triggers on the proper drivers so we didn't have to use the XBCD ones though :(

I say this every time, but if you want to get a game on the release date don't use the jersey people! Once the purple people got much more price competitive on their online store about 6 months ago I don't think I've ordered a single thing from jersey since.
