30 minutes in total or 30 minutes per game?
Just says you have 30 mins left on the main title screen so probably per game then you have to shut it down and relaunch. Uninstalled & deleted it now so cannot test for you!!

Just had a few trial games online, soooo much fun :D When the trial booted me back to the desktop I just though "that was awesome!" Join a ranked game Dingleberry through the easydrive, you'll get to do races with others.

And the 60fps is pretty damn vital for a game like this. I'm not too bothered that they cut a few polys out here and there to make it run as smooth as possible as it makes it run very well even on lower end systems. They maybe could have added some higher res textures but it's more of a minor issue as when you're actually playing the game texture quality isn't the first thing on your mind as you generally can't stop midway through a race and observe the scenery.

The only thing that seems to be missing (unless I just haven't figured it out) is drifting, which is what made the others so much fun.

Drifting is simple, just hold the brake lightly when turning and accelerating at the same time and you'll get into one.

First impressions then. I played Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge on the Xbox and had many hours of fun from them.

Burnout Paradise is disappointing compared to those. The free roam system is poor in my eyes, and pointless - it just gets in the way of the action. Having to drive to events, and especially having to navigate during races is tedious in the extreme. It would also be easier if the map rotated but that doesn't appear to be an option.

The actual gameplay feels lacking. I can't put my finger on it but the feeling of speed from the aforementioned games isn't there I think. I'm not talking about framerate because on the technical side, the game runs flawlessly. But the game leaves me feeling 'meh' - and if I ever buy it, it won't be till it's at budget price. After playing the trial for half an hour I can honestly say I enjoyed the driving in NFS Undercover more, and that was dire.

Burnout 3 Takedown and Burnout Revenge are different class to this game.

I'll add that the environments in those two games were more varied and I would argue graphically superior from an artistic point of view (if not a technical point of view due to being on older systems).

Been playing the trial, and yeah like everyone else turning on SSAO drops the frame rate by about half (i can see a small difference), still easily playable, but does anyone elses GFX card fan kick in big time when its on ? Its like running FurMark with that option on !

You do recall that your first batch of cars are slow in the old Burnouts too, right?

I'm pretty sure the last 10 cars you unlock will fly like the wind.

Burnouts 3 and 4 were fun from the word go.

I miss the ratings for where you placed in the race, and how you drove.

I miss the dedicated crash mode.

Really this game bears little relation to Burnout other than its name.

Ive started playing this without creating online profile etc. and it seeems to have picked up my windows login name. Does anyone know how to delete the game progress/game saves so that I can start playing from the very start again??

Why would you want to do that? If you login to the online portion all your in-game records are updated with that name.

If you're still wanting to delete your save, go to C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Criterion Games\Burnout Paradise\Save
