HOW DO I BUILD MY PC NOW IVE BOUGHT ALL THE BITS?

If your getting ready to install an OS you need to make your dvd drive your first bootable device in the boot priority section in your BIOS - save and exit. (See manual - u'll have a choice of floppy, hdd etc - make it your dvd/cdrom).

Then insert your disc and reboot - follow on screen instructions...

EDIT: have you sat in the BIOS for a while and checked that your temps are stable?

You're probably not getting your timing quite right pressing the delete key. Switch it completely off for a few seconds and try again.
 
Yes, me - just sit for 5 minutes and monitor what they're doing. If all seems normal you're off...

Remember to save your changes as you exit the BIOS!
 
if your bios has a power tab move across to that, in there there should be a hardware monitor option, that shows your temps, someone else will need to tell u whats safe for the cpu u have

You should have menu selection along the lines of - 'hardware monitoring' - it shows you voltages, fan speeds and system temps etc...
 
Remember that coffee and 5 minute break i mentioned you will need to have to get familiar with your BIOS in the manual about 4 pages ago - well this is now that moment :).

You're about to rush something that can't really be rushed your first time - get that manual and put the kettle on.
