How did they push for people to buy? It seemed to me like they only said "we've got this wicked card coming into stock and it's comparativly cheap, better cooler etc". Unsurprisingly everyone wants to grab a bargain
.I have the same psu and on corsair's website i did the search and put in a overclocked quad with 2 hdd's with the 4870x2 and it came up as the 520w psu suitable but if you intend to overclock the card as much as you can it looks like the power draw will be abit to much because when i added overclocking to the 4870x2 there website only recommended the 620w corsair unit as a minimum .
650W will run it easy.
I think OcUK have been fairly explanatory already. Most companies wouldn't say anything about why the date was pushed back, so the fact OcUK have said what they have puts them above most. Ultimately it is out of their hands, maybe they shouldn't have been quite so ambitious with the ETA, but at the end of the day it is just that, an ETA.
And all of this is coming from someone who has had the card on pre-order since the weekend, so the delay has been frustrating for me too.(And I can understand where you are coming from.)
It's the first time we have dealt directly on an Asus deal I was being very realistic with the ETA even stuck a few days on to be extra sure. I try to keep you all up to date as to what is happening. Again please accept my apology for the delays and the inconvenience caused.
Indeed, one little delay somewhere and it has a ripple effect on the whole thing.
BTW - The delay was nothing to do with my change of order (which i'm hoping gets processed today so I can play with my new card tomorrow ), it was more a realisation that I really really didn't need that much GPU power and the Gainward was a steal

Ah right, I retract my statement about the optomistic ETA then!
Given it was only ever an estimate though, and there was never any guarantee they would be in then, yourself/OcUK can't be blamed for the item not arriving in on time. The wait is most definitely offset by the excellent price in my view.

Ah right, I retract my statement about the optomistic ETA then!
Now I fully understand how Asus work now and I am also fully aware of European bank holidays I can guarantee further deals will be more accurate from a delivery date point of view.

Theres no pleasing some people I wouldnt rise to the bait lads..... No ones forcing anyone to buy anything here, and I have always found OCUK to be v reasonable, apart from the neo nazi forum admins!
