rubbish - the graphics are far better than BF2

note I think the game may have some sort of frame optimisation going on ... which can /may reduce graphics quality

you think BF2 can match this ?

True. I was thinking that yesterday. Just get a system that can play it o.k. and then this comes out. Haven't even played it through on this system. :)
Crysis is childs play and very much an arcade game in comparison to this.

My 4870 is the 512 model (Sapphire) bios flashed to a higher "asus" bios though :)

So i thought with 2x4870's in the 512 flavour, i would be better off getting the 1gig 4890's

If 2x4870's 512 are workable for this game i could always just get another 4870 512 i guess

185.85 stable for me. couldnt install 186.18 on windows 7 :(
 
This game is definetely a CPU hog, I also see little gain in lowering the resolution:

All settings NORMAL with 100 % Fillrate optimizer and Visibility set at 2,000
2560x1600: 30 fps
1920x1200: 34 fps
1680x1050: 35 fps

and the quad i7 were very strong in the german test. This game is one of the few where the 4 cores really seem to make a big difference.
 
hmm i keep getting crashes every now and then with 1.02, just stops responding and i get an error report thing in vista, highly annoying its usually when im doing well too lol
 
Bah stuck on Razor Two.

Go to a few spots on the map that are suggested to me then I get a message that the L guy is buggering off north in a car. I can never find him arghhhhhhhhh.

Erm if you checked back 2/3 pages you'd see I had this error earlier. I had to replace my DVD drive in order to install the game. It is firmware related, so if you can update firmware (which I couldn't) then it should solve your issue.

I couldn't find either of them, but i'm not sure if its possible, because the mission completed without finding them anyway.
 
Well this is a little silly, the day before this game landed on my doorstep I upgraded my computer and overclocked.

Here are my specs:-

i7 920 @ 4.02GHZ
6GB Patriot Viper @ 1602MHZ
GTX 295 @ 680/1200/1400
Asus P6T

My ARMA 2 settings are 1680*1050, all VERY HIGH, 1600 view distance and 150% (cant remember the setting name) Patched to 1.02.

The first mission at night im getting between 18-28FPS :eek:

The opening screen with the boat starts at 40FPS and drops to around 34FPS, training mission give high 20's.

Yes I know im running it on very high settings but come-on, it shouldnt be this bad!!!
