Because I knew you'd rate Redknapp higher than Benitez, I explained why I made the reference and yet you were still banging on about Newcastle.
Because you brought Redknapp up with no previous mention of Spurs from me on the subject.![]()
Wow, 30 games of the season to turn things around, what an achievement. With proper motivation any squad can do well and yes he did gain 49 points after this, but with the squad he had at his disposal it was to be expected.
Because I knew you'd rate Redknapp higher than Benitez, I explained why I made the reference and yet you were still banging on about Newcastle.
Although I don't disagree that Redknapp is a good manager, just what circumstances did he have to endure? Surely having a European quality squad isn't that much of a burden?
I rate herpes higher than Benitez.
they had taken 3 points from a possible 135 points(ish)
You just have to watch how Redknapp changed the team and where they finished to see that he is a quality manager.
Changed the team? By resigning Defoe and Keane? I'm sorry but even before they did that they had a team to be jealous of.
Not change in terms of signings, but by giving the players confidence and in some cases, teaching them how to play.![]()
Best signing he made was Palacios. Absolutely 100% the player we needed in CM.
8 games, 24 possible points. Spurs took only two from their opening 8 leaving 22 points.
Changed the team? By resigning Defoe and Keane? I'm sorry but even before they did that they had a team to be jealous of.
Why were they so bad then?
Liverpool didnt win the league, Portsmouth dropped like a stone, Spurs did well. - draw your own irrational conclusions.
Selling Keane was a huge mistake by Liverpool.
That doesnt matter, Spurs are a good team all of a sudden with the players back. Palacious was a great signing. They will trouble teams next season dont worry about that.

Palacios
A rare creature known to North London
A predatory animal, he waits silently until his prey grows ever closer
And then he pounces
There's blood
There's screaming
And you're 1-0 down
Bad times.

They were a good team before Redknapp, just poorly managed. I could repeat myself over and over but its getting late. I've not denied either that Redknapp is a good manager, all i've said is that Spurs had the quality before his arrival, it just wasn't being utilised by the people in charge at the time.
Anyway, back on topic...
You are why i dont post here much.
IronyAnd how you can put down Redknapp given his record, I have no idea.
I give Mr Commitment 4 months max before he walks leaving Spurs in the bottom half.
