sometimes it gives random numbers. like 0c, 10c min, 250.0c max
I don't get that. The readings I get are very believable.

MSI Afterburner & AMD GPU Clock Tool
MSI Afterburner & AMD GPU Clock Tool
The voltage increase in afterburner definitely works because we are getting 1ghz core and the benchmarks prove it.
I totally believe the VDDC temps in gpu tool and that when it goes to 1.6v it goes to whatever the max voltage the hardware will allow.
goto C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Profiles then edit the VEN_1002&DEV_6899&SUBSYS_0B001002&REV_00&BUS_1&DEV_0&FN_0.cfgOk, Well it did not for Me, what operating system You guys using ?
I will tell You something else, initially I was at a total loss because previously HWmonitor was giving me core volts, while running GPUtool and Afterburner I was not seeing any voltage increase in HWmonitor ! I posted the question I did not understand the change to Afterburner config file for that reason.....none of You Buggers replied anyway![]()
So we do not know for sure but the Voltages in Afterburner may be request voltages ? either way they are 100% incremental
Do You know which temp is which sensor ? I just get ..
GPU Temp #1
GPU Temp #2
GPU Temp #3
unlike the readout for the 5870 cards
GPU Diode (DispIO)Do You know which temp is which sensor ? I just get ..
GPU Temp #1
GPU Temp #2
GPU Temp #3
unlike the readout for the 5870 cards
upping the voltage using MSI afterburner and GPUclocktool for clockingSo from my understanding are some of you guys upping the voltage by purely using MSI afterburner and GPUclocktool? Or did you do some flashing?
upping the voltage using MSI afterburner and GPUclocktool for clocking

u need to goto C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Profiles then edit the VEN_1002&DEV_6899&SUBSYS_0B001002&REV_00&BUS_1&DEV _0&FN_0.cfg and add thisYup, how come it works for some and not others because in my case I can't up the voltage![]()
goto C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Profiles then edit the VEN_1002&DEV_6899&SUBSYS_0B001002&REV_00&BUS_1&DEV_0&FN_0.cfg
should be this:
[Startup]
CoreVoltage=0
CoreClk=0
MemClk=0
FanSpeed=0
[Settings]
VT1165_Defaults = 17 33
hwmonitor won't show the voltage increase
Thanks Gareth......But it's too bloody late now
...That's why I assumed I had miss read the instructions
GPU Diode (DispIO)
GPU Diode (MemIO)
GPU Diode (Shader)
all 3 are about the core/die/shader
u need to goto C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Profiles then edit the VEN_1002&DEV_6899&SUBSYS_0B001002&REV_00&BUS_1&DEV _0&FN_0.cfg and add this
[Settings]
VT1165_Defaults = 17 33
remember to run notepad in administrator mode.

Yup, how come it works for some and not others because in my case I can't up the voltage![]()

the core and shader are on the same die, right? thats why all 3 temps are close together.Thanks, hopefully an updated version will give us the full readout as for Me in XP I just get the above 3 and fan and Core temps and clocks, still strikes Me a little strange You need 3 diode's on the Core though !
