Practice, Practice, Practice

Yeah, I'm not the sort of person to put that much effort in though. I'm enjoying it with the pad, and want as little frustration as possible when playing games, so it will do for me :)

The wheel is nice when I'm just doing casual driving around tracks, but not for proper close racing.

I find it best not to spend money on cars at the start of the game. Just save your money and use the cars your given from winning and leveling up etc. In reality you could probaly get through most of the game just doing that!

Will eep that in mind. I'm a pants driver though so might find it tough :p

Tip:
If your in a car that you'd like to race in but it's not giving you a race set to use it. Go to the garage, swap cars and then get back into the car you wanted to use. Chances are it'll then offer you a race set for that car.

Pimpage:
I have two Lancia Delta tunes on my storefront (10k each, GT: ToneRsF), C and B classes, both are good for all snake tracks and shorts. The C class got me #2 on Fujimi-R  C class costs about 108k to build (including the shell (car)) and then to upgrade that C to the B class costs around another 30k. I recommend using just one shell and loading the required tune to change it's class, it's cheaper that way.

I just bought an official xbox 360 wheel from a market, it looks in good nick and I can return it if need be. But it didn't come with a CD. Do i need the software to calibrate it or is it not needed?

The reason I'm asking is because in Forza 3 the pedals aren't calibrated properly and the brake is always applied about 50%.

I think the PGR CD that comes with the wheel might do something, not a 100% sure. Check your controller settings in Forza and also start your Xbox/wheel with everything centred.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't take the PGR game that came with it because I've got 4 and told him not to bother...

I'm going to retry with it centred - Also I just googled reviews of the wheel and the RJ-11 (modem) cable that came with it is actually from a telephone. So I'll hunt around for another cable.

Dang it, as mentioned in one of my earlier posts my mate took his wheel back, pad is fine but not as fun/rewarding and im fairly sure towards the end of the weekend I was a fair bit faster. Thought I could trade in my SF4 Arcade stick, but no, despite both of the well known trade in stores stocking it, they don't accept it for trade in's! Gah, skint as well :(

You do all realise that you can rewind during the dirft laps don't you? Took me over an hour to do it on Fujimi Kaido as I wanted at least 1,000 points per corner, 2,00 was preferable though.

Yep. Even redoing loads of corners I didn't get close. Whilst my RX7 will go sideways nice and easily, I haven't got the hang of it yet. Think I need more power to kick the back out more, then I should be able to avoid having to try and throw the car sideways going into the bend :p

ive bought that outfit you can get your avatar to wear with some left over credits ... anyone know how i put the bloody thing on :p

* as you may be aware im not very good with the xbox :p

The copy of PGR that comes with the wheel has drivers for the wheel on it, I'm not sure if you still need them or not though.

In that case, there's a skyline setup in the storefront. Use it. It's brilliant.
