Weekend Football Thread. 7-9 *spoilers*

I have to admit I did laugh at hearing Cashley is likely to be out injured for a few weeks after his theatrics for THAT freekick

I jumped in the air to celebrate!!

I did laugh this morning when Kimberley Walsh of Girls Aloud (the one you would, but wouldn't be bothered if you didn't) was taking about how Cheryl Cole doesn't like Danyl Johnson from X-factor, and how she is normally such a good judge of character. I shouted out 'Well she married that ****, so she can't be that gooder judge!'

I hate that vile man still.

Are you still wishing the bad aids on him? If so, you should probably contact the witch doctor who has cursed Ronaldo with his ankle injury. ;) :D

Not enjoying Ngog being treated the same as Eduardo was? Didn't think so.

Couldn't care less to be honest. He's not English so it'll be highlighted in the media (as per the Eduardo case) and people will feed off it because they're usually unable to form their own opinions on football.

A lot of players from all of the top clubs have a tendency to dive. Eduardo, Rooney, Gerrard and Drogba and that's without even getting into any sort of analysis.

My issue has been the people spouting rubbish as if anyone on their team hasn't benefited from diving before. "Lucky Liverpool" in particular because they get a decision in their favour tonight...

Timing as they say is everything and you certainly pick your times to get all holier than than though the first whiff of criticism.

I think the holier than thou people are those turning their noses up to diving when their own teams have clearly (or more than likely) benefited from similar actions in the past.

It doesn't make it less of a dive or less cheating when it's my own team. I personally thought it was quite embarrassing to be diving against Birmingham to earn a point but that's not what I was objecting to.

"At last some proper recognition for Alex Song, who now and it may sound biased is for me the best DM in the Premier League, his performances are awesome as of late, and he is so athletic and powerful, his tackling and reading of the game is 1st rate" - dude_javis.

PG: Song should be the early frontrunner for theYoung Player of the Year award, though the flip side is that Arsenal could really miss him in January. Just as they really, really missed him when they played Chelsea in April's FA Cup semi-final. But let's not get into that subject again - though it's sorely tempting...

:D
