wacky voting system. Vote Brown out and he has the right to remain in No 10 as PM.
You vote your MP in. If your MP then wants Brown to be PM, then that is his/her choice.

Im baffled as to how Labour still have so many votes. Have people forgotten what a bad job they've done for the past decade? Do people think Gordon & Labour are going to change for the better if they get re-elected?
How can you not trust Tories with economy but trust Labour?
Labour ruin the economy, Tories fix it.

So the two losing parties have the right to Govern the country?
Under proportional representation you have larger areas. They can't be local to everyone. The more representative you want it to be, the larger the area.
Nick Champion is currently local to you because constituencies are small. When he's representing another constituency miles away, how is he local to people there? This effect is much worse in rural areas where population density means these new constituencies will be massive.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
sorry, for a second there a thought you said that the tories fix economies, must have been a typo.

I don't see what the problem is. You're concerned by the fact that Nick isn't within walking range of every single constituent in his electoral division? Honestly?![]()
You do realise Nick Champion is an Australian MP, don't you? You do realise I am talking about Wakefield in Australia, not Wakefield in the UK?
Back to the UK... Shahid Malik lives in Dewsbury, but once ran for office in Brent (West London). How many people in Brent would consider Malik "local" to them, do you think?

As I posted above, they will have kept some support from people who don't want to become worse off under Con. Think about how many Civil Servants there are who face losing their jobs under a Con Government for example.
Labour inherited a fairly healthy economy and look at what they've done to it. As usual the Tory's have to pick up the pieces so Labour can ruin it again next time....
Is there anywhere displaying votes for each party as a % of those cast? That will show how broken the current system is, you'll see a much higher Lib-Dem % of the popular vote.
