CIMA...... Just got started

Just a further update. I sat my 8th and 9th papers today. I'm pretty happy with them so I have to wait a little while for the results but I'm quite happy. Anyone else got exams tomorrow and thursday?

I'm currently being dragged, feet first through CA TC Principles of Auditing. I hate it. Especially seen as I have the exemption!

Especially irritating given everything you need to *remember* for TC PAR, you get *given* in a book you can take into the exams for TPS ABS.

With the change in syllabus it's hard to question spot. My mate just told me that P2 was solid, but E2 was pretty nice imo. Cash flows are easy marks if you know the pro forma so don't skimp on that.

I did P1 today, I suspect I haven't done very well.

For some reason I checked my timings in the middle and miscalculated how much I had left by 20 minutes, and therefore ran out of time on the last question.

Ballsed it up....left the EPS question for last, but didnt have enough time to even finish the interpretation question so got max 10 on that.

So I've missed out on 25 marks..... need effectively 66% to pass :( :( :(

I didnt even go to my F2 exam in the end, i didnt know enough to pass, and thought it would be being a total waste of 3 hours.

Good luck with your results though, just out of curiosity who do you learn with BPP???

dude!!! shoulda tried! you never know! :(

Yeah BPP.... they kinda suck with F2, rush through far too much!!!

At least you'd have another practice exam under your belt. No show is a fail on your record anwyay.

Good luck all doing CIMA exams (under the new syllabus!). Has much changed in the new syllabus?

I passed my ACA finals earlier this year. Sat the exams in November and got my results in January. What a nerve-wracking day!

Managed to pass every exam first time. Though it now means I have to decide what I want to do when I leave my firm...

Good luck with your exams guys!

Yep :(

no multiple choice, in managerial level there are 5 x 10 mark questions, which take an age to answer, meaning your stretched for time for the 2 25 mark questions (of which BOTH are compulsory, no choice between 3 like before!) :(
