*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

No problems with mine, much improved over my 3G and better than the Desire I had IMO.

I used my mates 3GS yesterday and the screen is so bad in comparison.

Thanks, that worked a treat!

Currently in the Arnhem hub.

mines in arnhem to, looks like all ours are on the same plane lol.
how long does it take from there or where is arnhem?

There is a big thread about it on AV forums, and most took 4 days from arriving at arnhem to being delivered.

That makes three of us as my one is in Arnhem as well. I really hope it's a bit quicker than 4 days for delivery. I've been without my iPhone 3G for a while now and it's annoying me being stuck with no email on my phone when I'm away from home :(

Why are you guys still buying the iPhone 4 version 1.0 beta "that will do release it now" edition when Apple are doing stuff like this:

?

Because i live in an area with high signal strength, so the antenna issue doesn't affect me at all. It's a shame they're acting like they are with the problem, but if it doesn't affect me then it's all good :)

The phones working perfectly for me; I've got absolutely none of the issues that've been mentioned and that's why it's the best iPhone i've used yet.

It just so happens that the "certain way" of holding it is pretty much the normal way of holding it for a right handed person when browsing on the web etc.

Plus it drops 99% of its signal when you hold it like that. A pretty terrible flaw really.

I was going to buy the new iPhone but I can't physically bring myself to do it when it has such a fundamental fault that Apple are doing nothing about.

I'm using the web on it now, 5 bar signal. Have you actually used one? I don't think I hold mine in an odd way, nor do I use a case, yet I have never experienced any problems.

Probably because for most people with an iphone 4, there is no issue. Yes in certain conditions you can hold the phone in a certain way to make the reception drop, but so what? When using it normally there is no problem.

No issue when they are at home or at work perhaps, how about when they actually go somewhere else where the signal is weaker and try to use their "mobile" phone and can't?

Then it certainly would be an issue, however I am still waiting to experience such a problem. The issue does exist, I can make
mine drop afew bars, sometimes, but it's never affected the phone usage yet.

Same here, my tracking info has registered it twice in Arnhem with about 45 mins between scans. Fingers crossed that means it's arrived, been sorted and has departed the Arnhem hub and it's on it's way to the UK.

Well i got mine yesterday. I was split untill someone at work got one and I couldnt recreate the signal issue.

However now i have mine I can...calls are not an issue as I naturally hold it "the right way" but when using apps I tend to cup in my left hand and use my right to tap the screen and this cupping just kills all signal within 10 seconds.

I just tried it at home as signal is bad at work, went from full 5 bar 3g signal to No service.

But even with this I'm happy with the phone, screen is amazing, i really didnt expect much but that was mostly due to the crap "retina display" name but it really is very good.

I'm holding out that apple will offer replacements when "4.1" is released fixing the issue, wishful thinking maybe but with this much bad press how can they not?

I got my iPhone today :)

It looks so nice next to my 3GS and my MacBook Pro! :D

Despite it being some three weeks late, and a few emails from apple saying sorry it arrived.

I was so pleased, I hugged the delievery man this morning ! I have no idea what he thought was going on, getting a hug from a half dressed 6" 6 brick out house.

Love it.

Amazing.

I think Apple have gotten it spot on, the camera, is amazing.

Despite the wait (yes I pre ordered) it was well worth it. So pleased.

*need to sell my 3GS now :)
