Son excluded from school!

Just go in there and stir up a complete **** storm, and demand that it doesn't go on his personal record and that the other offenders are dealt with immediately.

That's what I'd do.

It appears i drive a French car, and obviously need a german one to fully understand this thread, despite the fact i have children mate...

Why does being able to have sex without a condom make you the authority? If you're always so irritable they have my sympathy.

I'm sure you got picked on in school...did you never hit back even once?. Both of my kids are total pacafists (spelling Nazis?), wouldn't harm anything. Didn't you ever get to that point when you had just had enough?, it was usually just enough to show the bullies you wouldn't roll over...

That doesn't work. Just gets you a reputation for being a psycho and then kids pick on you even more, to try to push you past the limit.

If that was the case in this situation then the exclusion would be justified.

Most people get picked one at school - sometimes you fight back, sometimes you dont. Not sure how this matters though - all I said is that I'd like to hear the other side of the story, because a school suspending a child for a minor incident seems unusual.

You appear to have misread what I said as 'DIE ALL CHILDREN SCUM' or something.

I'd forgot what fun GD could be, i have two kids, i love them to bits, i'm very proud of them. Umm, how is this second best to not driving a Beemer???

If it's not an isolated incident then i'd agree with the suggestion of taking the issue up with the board of governors, or a higher authority such as the LEA.

I've had experience with this sort of situation myself when i was at school. Sadly nowadays some schools and teachers will just turn a blind eye to situations like this.

Don't be satisfied by the usual methods used by the school like 'having a word' with the bullies. From my experience, it never works and its just an easy way of solving things for them, when in fact it doesn't solve anything.

As for being excluded for a day, it is the type of overreaction that can happen. But it is only 1 day, I'd suggest making sure your son isn't upset by it.

While I can guess that you have, hammer the point home to the teachers that it's their responsibility to ensure that their pupils can learn without disruption. If they aren't doing this you have more than enough cause to take it up with a higher authority.

Just my two cents, but good luck.

Can we please stop the off topic bickering and get back on track? Else I shall close the thread.

To be fair I made a perfectly sensible and valid post expressing an opinion which has been expressed by at least 10 other people in this thread, one of which works for an LEA, yet got singled out and subsequently attacked for the rest of the thread about it by a guy who wont stop talking about BMW.

Bizarre.

But if you wish I'll stop replying to him :p

Nope, calm your temper dear. My eldest hit back once, kept it all in for a while but hey. He flattened the bully once, and once only. He got loads of detentions, but...he never got bullied again.

There is no smoke without fire as they say. I suggest you speak to the teacher who reported the incident to get their take on the incident, even if it's only to help your case that your son should not have been excluded. He may be being made an example of as many schools have a zero tolerance policy on physical violence.

Speak to the teacher who reported incident then with your sons head of year to find out what measures they have in place which are going to help stop your son being bullied. If you feel you need to open a can of whoop-ass you want to be asking what their Safeguarding Policy on bullying is, and what, to date, they can prove they have done to safeguard your sons mental health.

It takes 2 to tango, and I know you like a scrap! ;) And no, I wasn't singling you out at all - it's just a shame to have a thread derailed. :)

Good for him - sounds like he did the right thing. And he didnt get suspended for it, did he?

Do you not think a kid getting suspended for a minor incident is a bit odd? You must think that, surely?

Your obsession with BMW's is unhealthy. Why do you keep going on about them as nobody else in this thread is talking about cars

Lot of propeller sigs followed you in here though, how often do you post outside of your threads in motors?.
