LOTRO free to play going ahead.

Was my Hunter, teleporting about helped immensely, especially when doing books 9-15 of Volume 1 which involved a HUGE amount of travelling.

Heheh, yeah there does come a point (I commonly found myself hitting the point at around level 57) where you just want to get the hell out from being underground in Moria and see the skies again. Its usually at that point that I make a bee-line for the first hall and head out to Lothloriens areas.

I still need to do the rest of volume one. Decided to level to about 55 first though in the hope I could walk past a lot of the mobs during the instances and the like. Don't think the plan is working out too well.

Two of my toons are 55 and the Lorien stuff was still red to me if I remember correctly. I might switch back to minstrel for a bit and see if I can push it to 56 to see if they go orange.

Yeah the last few books of V1 have an insane amount of travelling, go to evendim, go to rivendell, go to angmar, go to thorins hall, go to the shire, go back to evendim, go back to rivendell, go to the lone lands, go back to angmar and so on. Darned nightmare without a hunter with you (or being a hunter) to teleport around the place :)

I don't mind travelling, not in this game anyway. Middle Earth has been re-created so well, its awesome to spoon about in. Still, may have found something to do this evening aside from level my Guardian and possibly my LM.

Still stuck at splash screen, the same as when Free2Play went live. With message "Getting data centres".

Seem being VIP doesn't matter much, if stuck in queue before able to access log-in server.

Yer def easier

and you dont even mention the quest helper.

:D

lol, yes, I did a good amount of complaining about that when it was introduced so that will have to do.

I just can't believe how ridiculous its getting.

I remember one particularly, ok overly hard change in level's, in lone lands, the west side was essentially "low level" stuff, then as you hit the further east Wargs theres this sudden leap from 400-500morale mobs to 700-900 morale mobs, and around lvl 22-23 when that happened as a hunter you were only around 1200morale or something.

They did used to be odd "jumps" in enemy morale/damage at various points with the lone lands the biggest jump across just a couple levels of mobs. They've smoothed it out somewhat but always lowering it inline with the easiest mobs in an area.

This time around those same wargs were down to 450morale and my Guard was hovering around 2k morale.

Every expansion just gets easier all over to the point its not a challenge to play.

Anyway, does anyone know how much Moria and Mirkwood expansions are in the lotro store as, you can't see prices for stuff you already have. I'm guessing next one will cost similar to what Mirkwood costs now?

Can't work out whats worth buying with points, I've got loads, though bit of a scam we don't get old deed's points applied, as I'd have a ridiculous amount of points.

I'm really not liking that multi-coloured quest helper area shading. As for the difficulty, marcing around in the north downs hunting aurochs is giving me a bit of a headache - I even died, once. Maybe it's just because I'm a bit rusty and my rotation's screwed up, but I've never had an issue with those guys before.

Back in the well hard old days, those Aurochs were actually elites, with 4.5k morale or so, and were all but impossible solo on level, at some point they made them all signatures, with 1.1-1.3k health or so, just took a guardian around them killing them with absolutely no issue.

Thats another thing, there used to be elite mobs ALL over the place, the trolls South west of Esteldin with an escort quest, impossible solo 2 years ago, now its easy solo, Aurochs, trolls in Lone lands, all over the entire world Elites have become signatures.
