Humm just tried putting bladevillian on, it just gets to the bladevilliain splash screen and stays there, occasional blinking black.

Doh' rubbish missed an extra step out ion the bladevillian wiping data off. Going to have to go get a card reader to stick another rom on.

Hmm if I wipe data/factory reset in the clockwork boot, will I lose the bladevillianzip?

Edit - did the wipe and it left the rom on, reinstalled and I'm in. Thank heavens for that.

Anyway to adjust screen brightness with bladevillian whilst leaving auto brightness on? as it's very dark with this rom.

Also really wanted the sebastian rom, but the download links don't work for it.

Went to the BladeVillian rom last night, is nice step up (for me at least) from the Modaco R4 in terms of speed, now to get my phone back to how it was

Acidhell - Menu button > Settings > Sound and Display > Scroll to the bottom to brightness, tap then then untick "Auto brightness"

No idea, the brightness kevel is annoying. Other than that much better than the orange rom, it actually plays mp3s with out stuttering.

Bladevillian is actually a nice rom once you take the auto-brightness off.

If it gets stuck on the splash screen it means you didnt wipe the phone before starting. Just go into clockwork, wipe the phone (doesn't wipe the sd) and then install bladevillian again and it works fine.

It's faster and doesn't have WaveSecure/Titanium Recover. However, I keep having trouble with it and Angry Birds causing slow downs/crashing of the game which I didn't with Modaco.

danza - Download VM Heap Tool and change the VM size, should be default 38 in the BV ROM, if it's not, set it at 38, if it is and 38 is giving you problems, try setting it at 32 or 24 (technically bigger values should be better for larger applications but if you're having issues then this may fix it).

How does this phone stand up using emulators such as gensoid and nesoid, does it play games smooth with sound or does it struggle with fps ?

The multitouch isn't as good as it needs to be for emulators. I wouldn't be using this for that.

Changed my o2 PAYG tarrif to web and text. Well at least I tried to, no confirmation text yet? :confused:

Well the iphone 3gs/4 uses the SGX535 gpu which is very good. Only the Galaxy S series by Samsung have a better gpu (SGX540).
