What film did you watch last night?

Watchmen - The Ultimate Cut (Blu Ray)

If I was to describe this in one word then I'd say comprehensive. At around 3 and a half hours it it's a long watch but at the same time does not feel tedious (although you may need a toilet break!). Anyway I never heard of or read the comics but I really like the film and Blu Ray transfer is good too.

8/10

How did you get yourself a copy of the ultimate cut, can't find it anywhere at a reasonable price ?

Killers - 6/10
Seen this one in the cinema back in June and had forgotten most of it. It's ok to kill some time but not something which you can watch again and again.

Dinner for Schmucks - 8/10 - Ended up renting this as Morning Glory was subtitled and i don't do subtitles. I was surprised as i actually really enjoyed this.

Tangled - 9/10 - Disney at it's best again. Zach Levi is awesome :D

Donnie Brasco - Excellent film. It was great to see Johnny Depp playing a "normal" character for once, rather than someone kooky, and Al Pacino was excellent as ever. Really felt for Al's Lefty, as he came across as such a sympathetic character, even as a mobster. Really good film.

Resident Evil: Afterlife - 5/10. Decent effects but storyline seemed to be all over the place (one scene they were inside the building and in the next scene they're on a boat?)

20 Something Taipei.

Marketed itself as an erotic lesbian film. Ended up being the Chinese equivalent of American Pie but a lot less entertaining. Didn't finish it out of lack of interest. 5/10.

Unforgiven - Solid western with Clint Eastward, Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. Enjoyable watch. 3/5

Spoiler mini summary:-

Western in which Clint plays an old guy who used to be mean and kill a lot but is now nice. He needs money so agrees to kill some baddies but ends up going all mean and killing a lot when his friend Morgan Freeman gets killed.

Great film!

Back to The Future - Recorded on ITV HD, not seen it in ages, brings back so many memories. Have Sky+ Part II for next week ;)
