Unfortunately, you are correct.

F.E.A.R was epic. F.E.A.R 2 was just a bland mess.

You can tell Crysis 2 has been consolised because all the visual shortcomings are masked by ridiculous fuzzy bloom effects.
 
Why the hell have they got assisted aiming on a PC game

Im getting a weird glare effect like bloom overload with crossfire. I used the radeon pro program to set an afr profile, performance was much better but it was unplayable with the glare effects.
 
Anyone wanting to mess with their fov, add +cl_fov=90 to the end of the shortcut. Problem is it seems to do it the same way BC2 does and the gun doesn't get shifted any.
 
I'm just hoping the demo has reduced texture size to keep the download size down to the lowest they can otherwise I will be a bit disappointed :(

My Pre-order was £21 for Limited Edition so I'm happy enough however I'm seriously expecting them to UP their game for the final retail product which I suspect they might in terms of quality!

Btw I do get the feeling this is just a lazily ported XBOX 360 demo to get it out on the PC asap for demo purposes.

There's a fair few peeps having similar issues so the prob has gotta be Cryteks side.

Im getting a lot of disconnecting, and it seems to have started stuttering abit, i like the game these issues are just annoying me

I kept trying for about 15 minutes, but then tried just to create a new account again and it said that the account was already in use :confused:

So I tried it and it worked, logged in straight away :D

Got in a game and first impressions aren't great. Also really laggy, and getting around 20 FPS with all the presets, none of them change at all.

Interesting that the mycrysis site is still down, i guess they didn't want threads from pc gamers telling them where to shove it.
 
Looks nowhere near as good as the first game and feels every bit like a console port. I didn't have to spend £400 on an 880GTX to play it on medium settings this time though. Every cloud........

I'm hoping the same, it definitely looks worse than the original :( I was hoping it would be on par or better graphically than the original game.

I am quite enjoying it though, although some of the slight changes of control are taking me a while to adjust to e.g. grenades, suit controls + holding the right mouse button for the sight
 
Downloading the multiplayer demo now, thats where the meat is at, hopefully they wont have made a balls of it but im not expecting anything amazing.

Well after reading about disappointment all through the day I reserved judgement until tonight when I could have a go for myself.

Sadly, I too am disappointed, it certainly looks worse graphically than the original and the narrow FOV isn't great.

On top of that it all just feels very sterile and entirely devoid of entertainment for me.

Sadly after that I'm not sure whether to buy the game or not, the SP would have to be entirely different in terms of fluidity and feel to make me buy, and from what I've seen; fluid it isn't.
