OCUK Rolling Road 11 - Saturday March 19th 2011 - Eurospec, Guildford - Pictures, graphs, discussion

Eisenmann Sports exhaust, everything else stock.

Backboxes only ladies and gents - full Eisenmann Sports exhaust will sound nicer! He always forgets to mention that (signed: his carer)

It was a great day, and everyone who turned up was great - made me feel really at home again - this is the 2nd or 3rd OCUK meet I've been to with Booner now, and it was the best. Great weather too, although damn nippy first thing!

Well done to Kosta too - he did a great job of organising it! It was made incredibly difficult by people turning up at random times and disappearing with signed forms etc. His car looks and sounds fantastic too - as I told him on the day.

BUT, while the dyno was good, they took forever, 15-20 mins max should be OK per car, even with the oil and tyre pressure checks, let alone the full hour the Porsche took! But they go up a notch again for providing biscuits and the pizza service! A smaller group should be better (but the large crowd is what made this such a good meet IMO), although hopefully they'll be more efficient in future.
If you plan on organising more RR days and want suggestions of other venues just ask around Kosta (as I'm sure you did with this).

(ps -Ad- if you want to make a decat pipe let me know, could be fun!)

Ben - the guy with a ponytail.

Again details of mods, eg exhaust etc would be nice to put on youtube..

It's a 2001 S3 with the AMK engine

Forge 007P diverter valve
Badger5 3" TIP and Jetex JR filter
R-Tech stage 1 remap
Milltek catback exhaust
N249 valve bypass

Other mods include

H&R anti-roll bars
Brembo monoblock calipers (from a Clio 197) with custom carriers and lines
Ferodo DS2500 pads, EBC Ultimax discs, Castrol SRF brake fluid
Powerflex poly bushes all round

Just like to thank you again Kosta for organising what was a very successful and highly enjoyable day. I commend your efforts mate! :D

I'm going to briefly touch upon Fox's comments regarding the Porsche. I won't say anything else after this on the matter, so please don't pester me about it. I'm not going to apologise for him running his car on the dyno. Fox, you're the only one I see actually complaining about this... Most people seemed genuinely keen to see it run and he ended up "taking Joshy's slot" so there were no more cars running than was anticipated. I appreciate that it took ages to run it, but I don't think we can blame the owner of the car, or myself, or Kosta for that one.

I have however taken onboard your comments about only letting OcUK runners go on in future and actually agree with you on that point, so fear not, I won't pepper the running order with additional cars in future.

He actually took NVPs slot. Joshys place was never filled :)

And there was nothing off about it, he came nice and early, a took someone elses place who was no longer running. If NVP was still running then yes he would have waited until the end.. and that's if he ran at all.

There was no problem with running the Porsche and had he have been a forum member it wouldn't have been such a problem for some, but because he was someone's friend everyone moans. Hadley, don't feel bad or anything remotely close for inviting friends, we are all car enthusiasts at the end of the day, members of OCUK or not!

I do like the fact that the people complaining most about things that happened on the rollers are those with the least interest in them in the first place...

Thanks Ben. Very nice to meet you, I'm sure everyone will agree you are more than welcome to come again :)

O and not sure who asked earlier on.. but the main guy running the cars was Ben. I'm on my phone at the mo.. so when I finish work tonight I will carry on uploading videos etc.

Not actually that loud when in side it though.

Bit like the Monaro in that respect. Sounds like thunder outside but when you're inside you can barely hear the thing. Just the faint sound of the popping on overrun. Nevertheless, a properly addictive noise with the windows down!
