***TWO VERY SPECIAL MONITORS: HAZRO HZ27 Series!**

Is this a pre order only price or will they be this price for a few weeks ?

Yes.

Stock has arrived today, all backorders are now shipping.

As a lot of you seem to have not ordered yet, I've moved the price up by *ONLY* £12 out if fairness to those who did pre-order early. At the end of the week the price will increase more.

Oh crap, I was going to order one just now and there goes the price increase.

Thanks a lot OcUK :(

You could at least reply to my previous question if the price was increasing this week - I would have borrowed some money earlier as I've only got it covered today.

Its £12, shall be increasing more later in the week.

Crap, I was on the bus just 30 min ago and checked if there were any changes to pricing.

Come back home to order the monitor and see this - thanks for making me feel bad.

If I order now, will I get the monitor tomorrow?

Yes if before 4pm. :)

When did you increase the price? Could have waited before 5 pm when everyone gets back home.

I can see the benefits of a slight increase in price (no doubt, the sales will increase) but some people are genuinely on budget and if I only got to the PC before having a dinner, I wouldn't have to pay £10 extra that is already on top of £20 extra that I was willing to pay. :(

To order or not to order...

wow, expensive but nice quality.

I think there very cheap to be fair well I say very cheap, 400-500 quid isnt cheap for a screen but for what your getting with these screens bargain imo. *and i'd bet my life anyone with a little bit of monitor Knowledge will agree*

Compared to most 24" -27" screens its a bargain when you think what panels in there, the features the screen as and above all the bloody Resolution.

2560x1440 Resolution

If you can find me another 27 inch screen with the same or better res and panel in the UK that beats this price ill bloody buy it you.
*Im sure Gibbo will even go half's on this bet with me as you have no chance*

Start your google search now mate. Also good luck you will need it.

It is expensive. Relative to the panel type it's cheap but for a monitor it is expensive when you consider most people are spending around £100-150.

EDIT:
Frustrating that the price was over £400 as I had budgeted only £400 for one and other money on things I wanted more (speakers, amp, etc), now with the prices going up it's seeming less and less like a bargain too. The big question for me is will this work with a HDMI to DVI cable? I'm hoping to use this as a TV with an AVR, the lack of scalers won't bother me too much (I mean I hardly watch TV anyway hence why doubling the monitor up as one), this might be the breaking point for me as there is a nice cheap (<£300) 24" Dell IPS going elsewhere that would work.

I've not long ordered the U2711 from another retailer, I've had it 2 days, i'm happy with it, the colors are spot on and I love the tight res but bearing in mind i'm predominately a gamer and I like glossy screens should I RMA the U2711 and pick this up instead...?

See my problem is not the price even with the increase :D

But the monitor itself for gaming , I'm expecting my alienware pc Monday with an ATI 6870 onboard and I'm already concerned I won't be able to play games on full res , I know others have said about turning off some bells and whistles

But what's the point in purchasing this monitor if you cannot use it in all it's glory

And there are no definitive reviews on this monitor and the minimum spec card that will use these monitors to there full gaming potential

well thats not really a limitation of the monitor, it's a limitation of the graphics card. you need a card which can handle 2560 x 1440 res with the settings how you want them, and all assuming the game can support the weird res too of course

Head over to techpowerup and look at the review of the 6870. It should give you an idea of how the card will perform (and in relation to orther cards you may want to upgrade to)

it's only 12 quid, blimey! Deciding not to buy over a 12 quid increase is insane.

It's not just £12, the monitor was supposed to be released at £399 including P&P and VAT, now you have to pay £30 extra and the increase just adds doubt to making such an expensive purchase.

Hmm as the price creeps up the job persuading the wife it's a good buy gets harder, the psychological £400 barrier gets further away, especially as I need two of them! Still got the Zr24W as a fall back position so not too bad :)

2 of these and 2 Ergotron LX desk mounts costs about the same as one apple cinema display. Food for thought.

Has anyone ordered 2? I want pictures. + is the bezel trim silver or white? it looks white in the photos but TFTcentral reckon it's silver.

Says more about how hideously overpriced the Cinema displays are tbh. I don't see why people are having a mare over £12 though, if you fell for the old 99 pound routine in the first place then more fool you :p

Will be interested to see what these are like in real life. May have an IPS panel, but doesn't mean its going to be any good.

thanks for thaT, just spent 30 mins going over the review of the 6870

on a 1920 x 1200/1080 monitor, this card on its own never mind cross fire will be awesome!!

but for these monitors im definetely looking at another 6870(CF) or selling mine and getting something awesome like a GTX 590

its goto be a 27" monitor for me, but how good is 1920 x 1200/1080 on one for games etc any one got any suggestions recommendations

or will gaming on the Hazro HZ27wc blow them away

The resolution of 2560 x 1440 on a 27" monitor gives its a really tight pixel pitch and this makes games both and old and new look that little bit more special. You'll need some horsepower behind that res I use a 580 myself also at this res and size you really don't need much in the way of anti-aliasing I find 2 is enough.

ive ummed and arred long enough and made the decision no, cant get a clear dead pixel return policy and its been confirmed there is no OSD on the 400£ model for colour adjusting,

id have to buy the £500 version, and for that money i can get a second hand u2711 with dells 0 dead pixel warranty.

would have liked to try a glossy screen, if the £400 had have had either the 0 dead pixels OR colour adjustment i would have gone for one :/

its one of those.. i want to buy it, but just cant justify it with the niggles
