***TWO VERY SPECIAL MONITORS: HAZRO HZ27 Series!**

Message for gibbo -

I'll grab 2 of these at the end of may. Do you think you'll have stock then? ie, do you have loads or are you able to get lots more from the supplier? I only ask as the 30" sold out quickly and never came back.

we've still not got a real answer on the dead pixel policy. if I'm going to part with a thousand quid I'll need to know I'm protected. Any word on this?

Sorry if this would be more appropriate in the customer service forum but I think the answers are relevant to this thread.

Thanks in advance.

PS: Also, don't forget to edit your OP so that it doesn't imply this monitor uses LED and the apple cinema does not. Accurate info all the way.

I'm still wondering what the definite warranty is regarding pixels

They replace it if it exceeds either:
9 Type A: PIXELS: Constantly on (white) – [referred to as ‘hot pixel’]
9 Type B: PIXELS: Constantly off (black) – [referred to as ‘dead pixel’]
21 Type C: SUB-PIXELS: Constantly on (red, green or blue) or off (black) – [referred to as ‘stuck pixel’]
1 cluster of Type A and B
9 clusters of Type C

It's a lottery basically, if you get a duff panel you're pretty much stuck with it, this is one of the main reasons they're so much cheaper than Dell etc.

Please explain the clusters?

ive ummed and arred long enough and made the decision no, cant get a clear dead pixel return policy and its been confirmed there is no OSD on the 400£ model for colour adjusting,

id have to buy the £500 version, and for that money i can get a second hand u2711 with dells 0 dead pixel warranty.

would have liked to try a glossy screen, if the £400 had have had either the 0 dead pixels OR colour adjustment i would have gone for one :/

its one of those.. i want to buy it, but just cant justify it with the niggles

Can't compare a brand new monitor to a second hand one.

I'm sure a few months down the line you will be able to pick up a 2nd hand hazro for £300ish

If this is true I will not be purchasing one of these EVER! They might be cheap but that is not a competitive pixel policy.

A) One duff pixel ruins the panel completely for any normal human being with standards.

B) Resell value is vastly reduced if you have to declare duff pixels.

I'm out.

I have a dead sub-pixel (stuck black) on my Dell 2209WA - doesn't bother me at all.

I guess I must have pretty low standards :(

Just came on to see if anyone had receieved one of these yet as i was very interested.

Would be moving from my 3 24" dells to two of these but had not considered the dead pixel issue and that really is shocking.

Smaller company and that is why the initial cost is lower i guess.

I'm a normal human being with standards but a had a 30" Dell for over a year with 1 dead pixel. Does that make me a sub generate or a mutant?

Sorry your post is just laughable.

Fair enough if you don't agree with the pixel policy but the price is considerably cheaper than rivals to combat this.

The odd sub pixel I can live with but whole dead pixels or worse stuck pixels I find seriously distracting. The fact that you have to have at least 10 dodgy pixels before they'll replace it is shocking and I won't be buying one until we see a decent amount of responses from those that have bought one. Who knows it might not be an issue at all, time will tell.

I have already mentioned that the price is fantastic. Indeed I mentioned that you can get 2 for the price of 1 apple cinema with the same panel.

I didn't mean for anyone to take it personally. I think you are very much in the minority and besides, we're talking about up to 9 sub pixels without replacement not just one. You can't argue with my comment about resell value can you?

Anyway, I don't want to argue with anyone.

IMHO sub pixel stuck on is worse than a dead pixel. Although the pixel guarantee is ridiculous - reckon everyone would take £50 more on the price for a watertight policy.

2 of these and 2 Ergotron LX desk mounts costs about the same as one apple cinema display. Food for thought.

Has anyone ordered 2? I want pictures. + is the bezel trim silver or white? it looks white in the photos but TFTcentral reckon it's silver.

It was originally White and in fact the HZ27Wa we were sent had the White trim. Some of the hazro images might well be based on this too and some of the photos on TFTcentral are certainly of the A model (White trim). The C model sent was the silver trim which is the final production model but it's a very light silver colour

but the dead pixel transferable warranty makes 2nd hand more like new than most warranties

ok thanks for clarifying the pixel policy, id pay 100 more for the dell pixel policy. im the sort who cant deal with one or two constantly on white pixels, dead is ok, but for me its just a no

i knew the warranty wasnt good enough for me personally, and i suppose thats why the dell is much more expensive, you pay for the warranty
