Yep, just the 'standard' voice search/control stuffs

With the SGS2 it does come with two options, Google and 'Samsung powered by Vlingo', oddly the default for mine was Google...
 
Spoke to T-Mobile last night about renewing my contract and seeing if they could match Virgin Mobile's offer of 800 mins, unlimited web and texts, and free S2 for £30 a month. T-Mobile said they could match it and offer 900mins.

They said I'd have to ring back when the S2 is released, which was said to be "any day now". Checking their website and it says "Coming June 2011", I hope that is a mistake!

Just got in from local P4U, and what a worthless company they are.

We can't sell you it on contract, only SIM Free, lucky for me that's what I wanted.
This model is non returnable etc etc, so nodded my head and paid.

I would have walked out without the phone had I wanted a contract with these guys after that brief chat.
 
P4U are terrible, I'm only dealing with them because it might get me the phone early.

Otherwise, Mobiles.co.uk it is :)

The people in my local one are even worse, too. I had a guy trying to convince me for 20 minutes that an iPhone 3GS was better for web browsing than a Desire HD... as you can imagine, it didn't end well for him :p

Date for T-mobile seems to be real unfortunately, that's why I went for a different deal.
 
Just got off the phone to O2 who told me they have a new release date of the 28th (tomorrow) and to phone retentions back then and they will beat what Orange are offering, which is nice.

Thoughts: It's awesome :p

The main thing I think people are worried about is build quality, and for me it's good, although the back is very thin plastic it does sit tightly against the battery and doesn't really flex at all. I do worry that maybe it might 'wear out' and get loose if you're opening/closing it often, but then that's not too likely is it, I've got my SIM and 8Gb microsd card in there so that should do me forever more :p

Software wise I've gone to LauncherPro already, some ok bits of Touchwiz but overall not a fan, but saying that although I've not used Sense hugely I'm fairly sure I would've changed a Sense phone to LauncherPro asap as well.

Calendar as I mentioned before has issues but easily rectified and ultimately I only really view stuff on the phone generally anyway (albeit, that's coming from a magic where anything more than viewing was really quite slow so I defaulted to using the pc 99% of the time :p)

Pics/Video samples, anything in particular you want? Got some free time today, I'm no photographer though so don't expect too much :p
 
SKILL how much memory does 1 min of 1080p recording take up? I'm getting a free 8GB card with my phone but was thinking of getting a 32GB card given how big 1080p movies are usually.
