personally while I enjoy the excitement that supporting United provides I'll be quite content next season if we just trounce everyone 3-0.

Hehehe, while you would be chuffed about the 3-0 trouncing, I'd be fuming about the dullness of it from my viewpoint. How about instead of a 3-0 win for you, we settled on a 3-2 non stop attacking, who gives a stuff about defending win from both sides for you instead. Keeps you happy as you get your 3 points and keeps me happy as I get my exciting match :)

If a Liverpool fan offered me that for all our games against them over the course of a season then I'd bit their hand off!

Mind you the games with the big rivalries like City and Liverpool are the games where I get too tense to enjoy the end to end stuff. We'll go end to end when we play Norwich and Swanswea instead!

Catania have claimed that Liverpool are interested in their Argentine defender Matias Silvestre.

Haven't seen him play before but seems to be attracting a lot of interest.

Just chill out and relax, dont be worried about the result and the win and you wont be too tense to enjoy the end to end stuff :D

(loving that Norwich and QPR are back in the top flight, its like the clock turned back 30 years. If only Notts Forest (my second favourite team) had made it back up too it'd be like all the old gang being back up at the top)

That seems a bit out of left field, he isnt in contract negotiations or something is he and his agent is just trying to whip him up a better deal?

Arsenal / Liverpool / Spurs / possibly Everton (dark horse)

More like no ****ing horse. We have £0, the impending money that we will get from a few transfers, Yak, Yobo, the Vaughan money. Our chief executive has already said that Moyes won't even get 100% of money made from transfer sales.

If we don't get silly money from a sale of either Baines, Jags, Rodwell or Fellaini then we won't be getting anyone major in, we won't be looking at a Europa League place, just 7th place as the target to achieve especially when you only have 2 strikers!!

:( :(

More links with Nasri and Clichy going. It's the same thing every year for us. I am not too worried about Clichy as he has never quite become the player he could be, plus we have a ready made replacement in Gibbs.

With Nasri however I can see developing into a fantastic player when Fab goes. The last thing I want to happen though is nasri and fab both leaving and then having Diaby or Denilson as our starting Midfielders. Ramsey has promise but not sure how he is going to react to his broken leg over time. Promising come back but hopefully he has a nice rest over summer and ready for the next season.

Some nice rumours for Arsenal signings but I do hope they tie down Nasri before he walks away for under £10m. Can't see that being in the EPL but you never know. Maybe we could exchange him for Scholes and Giiggs. More aging players to have laying around the grounds in retirement from Utd.

The happiest Arsenal fans can get this summer is if we keep our players and sign one or two unknown potential gems.

The worse it can be is that we keep all our average players who just stick around for the pay packet and Nasri, Fab, Bendtner, Clichy, Arshavin all leave.

Bendtner is a funny one. I have always backed him as someone of huge potential but even his great games are always smeared by his easy misses that cost us big. I thought he would eventually turn good but I am not too bothered about him leaving. I would like him to stay and prove everyone wrong but he has more bad days than good.

So I am more interested in the players leaving again than the ones coming in.

I personally wouldn't be that confident as a Utd fan, the efforts of the 'veterans' this year were IMO the difference that dragged them over the edge and not having VdS, Scholes, Giggs(?) to call on in those crunch games I think is going to make them look vulnerable, especially if say Vidic picks up a knock that keeps him out - and the Berbatov situation too is just weird.

Yeah the likes of Rooney, Hernandez and Nani hardly contributed anything last season did they? Just the 20 odd goals for Hernandez, 10 goals and 14 assists by Nani and Rooney chipping in with the a hat-trick and overhead kick here and there ;)

VDS will be missed there's no doubt about that but Scholes barely played and Giggs will still be around

I'm not too concerned tbh and if we sign a top class midfielder they might as well give us number 20 now

My dream summer for Arsenal:

We buy a top class goalie. We get two established CBs, and a World Class forward.

We then drop all those players that show no real desire to improve themselves who are happy to sit on the bench.

So what are you going to do about LB, RB, CM, DM, LW, RW and the other FW position?

Arsenal don't need two established CB's aslong as Vermaelen is back.

:D I'd expect nothing less a response from the forums biggest Utd fanboi :p

Note I'm not saying that they are going to be rubbish, just that I see them being a little more vulnerable without the older heads in the team. Scholes still had 33 appearances and it was the touch of class and experience (as did Giggs - if he decides not to play on then I think losing both as well as VdS is quite a significant loss tbh) that was noticeable in a number of games that I think you'll miss. But again this is just speculation, they could sign a corker of an AM and then all of a sudden the team looks far more accomplished.

Nor do we need a goalkeeper. Szczesny and Fabianski are more than capable between themselves. I'm confident in Djourou, Koscielny and Vermaelen, not so much in Squillaci. We need another good left sided midfielder, another left back to replace Clichy, and at least one GOOD central midfielder, so that means Parker is out. Wouldn't mind another forward too, but then if we gave Walcott more chances in the middle and started giving Vela games then we probably wouldn't need more forwards.

How is keeping Nasri a good thing, he's average, he won't improve when Cesc goes, (not because of it anyway) his worst performances this season have been when trying to be the playmaker for the team, he's not built for it.

His attitude stinks, he's a petulant child and too keep him we'll have to make him at the least, as well paid as RVP/Cesc, by the sounds of the offer he's had already and is stalling on signing, he wants to be the best paid member in the squad. How will that effect Arsenal long term, Nasri gets 100k a week, so RVP if he stays moves to 130k as he's a FAR FAR better player or RVP is off, we sign a big name replacement for Cesc and he wants 200k a week?

Nasri should never, ever have been offered what he was, a minor bump after a 3 month good spell and 6 months of uselessness and being truly woeful when needed most.

Rewarding him massively for a not very good season is just a joke, it would be Wenger, not knowing what to do flinging money at the wrong players.

I'd prefer Nasri left on a free than we absolutely destroy the wage structure and get ourselves into deep doodoo.

Defensively, Djourou shouldn't be anything but backup, Kos shouldn't be backup and Verm is our only quality defender right now.

Clichy would come good if we played in a way that used fullbacks and his pace effectively, right now he's a waste, but it will cost us significantly to sell him and get someone better in, so thats just bad business, Gibbs is a joke.

We need to get rid of Nasri, Diaby, Denilson, Sagna, buy a right back, keep Clichy, buy a CB, ditch Squillaci even if its just a loan to get his wages off our books. We won't sell Theo but we desparately need to stop playing him as a right winger, we need to buy a right winger, and play Arshavin consistantly.

With Wenger, none of that will happen. If Hiddink, or, Rijkard, a bunch of managers, Hughes even, I could see us really working hard to ditch the dead weight and bring in the right players, move back to a system that suits the team, with Wenger, I don't trust who he'll buy, how he'll use new/current players, injury issues, no rotation, ridiculously sticking by our worst players, etc.

No mention of Eboue? I am disappoint.

I can't see any benefit to Arsenal whatsoever of selling Nasri to Utd - AM is clearly a position they are looking to fill so why on Earth would they let him go to Utd - if it was 5 million to offload him abroad vs 10 million to Utd I'd say 5 million is a fair price for him not to go to a direct rival.

Eboue doesn't need to be mentioned. Everyone knows he's clearly the best player in the team... sheesh!

My point exactly. With our continued injury nightmares then we `do` need two established CBs.

Meanwhile, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has won the race to sign Lille striker Gervinho in a deal reported to be worth about £10m.

Anyone know much of this guy?

Well this might be a shock to you but Arsenal do have other players for those positions . Unless there was a mass sale I didn't see :p

You do have some funny rose tinted glasses. Did you see the effort Arshavin put in last season. At one point he was almost willing Wenger to take him off with his poor performances.

I would get rid of Diaby and Denilson. I would keep Sagna though, not been at his best but better than Eboue (Yes I said it lol).
