No - I do genuinely enjoy watching people going in completely the wrong directions. Giving away spoilers takes the fun out of that. But Ned's death was really intended for that purpose: to let the audience understand that this is serious.

Wondered regarding collars and cuffs for several episodes now.

I very much enjoyed the entire series, very well witten, full of strong characters, impressive backstories which will be filled in as we progress, and now we learn more about characters who we knew little off.
