Heh, the problem is that as much as you want to read the first book, you find yourself almost wanting to rush through it as you know what happens in the TV series. Don't get me wrong, the book is better, but the TV series did a good job of explaining events so the urge to get on to new things is strong. It's basically amazing.

I know whaty you mean, I have done that with books before. Trying to read as quickly as possible as I am so exicited lol!

Sky Atlantic has been an absolute top tv channel this year, Boardwalk Empire, Blue Bloods, Game of Thrones. Trouble is they are all coming to an end !! What to watch next !? The Borgias starts soon on Atlantic, so I guess that will be next.

Tempted to pick these up for the summer for a bit of reading at cricket but I've got a couple to finish beforehand so could be ambitious - how long are the first couple?

Wow , the last few episode clif hangers have had me screaming "Noooooo" at the credits. Nothing has gripped me recently like this brilliant series. I think only Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy some close. I just had to order the books as well, the 2nd book A Clash of Kings, is 752 pages! awesome, I can read the books and have put the great imagry of the series to the books.
As its been said, Sky Atlantic has been a great new channel, its always a long wait inbetween episodes and a 1yr wait before season 2 on sky is a bummer, not quite as bad as the waits inbetween LOST!

Now those new books get added to my stack of must reads, do I go for the new Iain M banks Culture novel ? or Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse ? or wait till tomottow until the Clash of Kings arrives ?!
