F365 have the story aswell it seems, Wenger this morning or yesterday saying no ones leaving, and Cesc signing for Barca within a day, does he know whats going on anymore, not jokingly, seriously?

How can a prem league manager, within basically hours of the Cesc deal being done, claim no ones leaving, he looks weak, he looks incompetant, and no matter his reputation in the past, do top players really want to play under Wenger anymore, or does this kind of crap make him seem senile rather than top of his game.

Wenger had a slim chance of convincing fab to stay and he tried his best. I don't blame him for that. Would you prefer he said, yeah all our players are for sale at the right price?

You are the one who seems to have lost his marbles. He was always going to be fighting a losing battle but at the end of the day he made his mind up to leave.

How do you know Wenger isn't having the same problems with his targets but he is keeping it private rather than the whe team joining in with the transfer like Barca.

Do you think we have free choice and can just buy whoever we want? Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Maybe you should sell your services to Wenger. You could tell him who to buy and wrap up the deal in one day.

tbf DM he wouldnt exactly come out and say yes within 2hours he is gone that would make him look daft, No one knows the disccusions that took place he might of tried to keep him but lets face it as soon as Fabregas mentioned Barca and playing for them it WAS going to happen at some point.

What are you on about, I think thats the second time you've randomly brought up buying players being difficult despite me not even remotely mentioning buying players.

Wengers not buying replacements, because he's deluded and thinks he'll keep Nasri/Cesc, 98% of the population saw this situation coming 6 weeks ago, this is Wengers job, to not see it is incompetant, not a mistake not bad, but incompetant.

Don't blame him for what, did you read my post, or the story. This morning, not weeks ago, this morning he held a press conference saying Cesc and Nasri are staying, within hours Cesc has signed for Barca, thats not making a stand, thats ridiculous.

The Nasri "stand" he was going to make, the best case scenario, not the worst but the BEST was he stays for a year, and leaves for nothing, thats retarded. A ridiculous stand to make because the best case scenario without his "we're making a stand and won't let him leave" was 20mil and a dodgey player with attitude problems off our books for a ridiculous fee. Now its looking like his big stand refusing to let Nasri leave, is already over, 2 weeks later.

I've never once claimed we have free choice over who we buy, nor that it takes a day, I literally have no idea why you're saying that, more than once.

THe point MANY Arsenal fans, reporters, pundits are making is, if everyone else on earth saw Fabregas leaving, and almost certainly Nasri, why not sell them 6-8 weeks ago and then he'd have....... 6-8 weeks to buy a replacement.

HAHA how can you even comment on negative attitudes and being a real fan?

Bloody hell.

Im merely pointing out the situation that i have been criticised for saying this exact thing and then been called an anti fan.

I also found out that statistically de gea was beaten more often from outside the box than any other keeper in Spain:(

Sooooo no new signings for Arsenal?? thought we was in for Jagielka, Cahill and a few others??.

Damn i love Arsenal and their pro-activeness in the transfer window...rumours were a few weeks ago that we might sign Benzema but hes now said hes staying at Real....

What, has all logic gone from this place.

SO Fabregas is actually leaving within two hours, he's being sold, it IS happening. SO when the press ask Wenger, saying, he's signing today will make him look daft? But saying he's not leaving is fine?

IF he is leaving in a few hours, how does saying so make him look daft. Now that Cesc has gone, would Wenger look daft if in the next press conference he says Cesc has left?

Theres what is happening, and theres what isn't happening, Wenger seems to not know what is happening.

By all accounts we accepted the actual fee 1-2 days ago, all that was going on was personal terms with Barca and finalising the paper work, at no stage in the last 2 days was their a single chance Cesc might decide not to go. It isn't like these things happen in one day, Arsenal accepted an offer days ago and they've been waiting months for a certain level of fee for him to go, there wasn't going to be last minute conversations or u-turns. Plently of other managers say things along the lines of "I expect the deal to go through today or the next couple days", I don't think I've EVER seen another manager claim a deal isn't happening at all, for it to happen within hours, its completely ridiculous.

Im not saying he is im going off what the rumour mill is saying, What Wenger should do is refuse to comment its not hard to do is it? All he has to say is im not commenting on transfers today.

TBH I do think Arsenal should go with a different manager so when i do see Arsenal fans going on about his failing etc half of the comments seem fair but some are just ridiculose but thats another topic disccusion.

Wenger should just refuse to comment, he looks stupid saying he won't be leaving but equally he shouldn't be saying he is going.

Wenger has lost it completely, he's spent years shouting that transfers shouldn't be done in the media (and then did half the chamberlain one over the media trying to unsettle him...).

He's already made him self look stupid trying to get people not to leave under media and fan pressure through the media and lost control. Now he's scrapping the barrel by trying to buy players just with the reputation of the club, opposed to the allure of working with a decent manager.

Im with most pundits not even giving Arsenal top 4 this year...

It's funny, I should be far more upset about this than I am, but I think I'm just glad it's all over. Likewise, I should probably be wishing Cesc all the best, but I'm just kind of meh about it. I hope he has a good cushion, for all that sitting he'll be doing.

Some Rumours that Man City have agreed a deal to loan Adebayor to Spurs for the season. If true would be a good signing for Spurs but would probably mean no Lllorente, but even so that signing would be difficult for Spurs to get.

Nothing on Sky sports etc, so just rumours for now. Even though that article states "according to sky sports" I have had it on and off for the last hr and all it has been is Cesc Cesc and more Cesc...

According to Tim Payton of the Arsenal supporters trust, Fabregas's fee will be around £30m plus £5m in add-ons if he plays 60% of Barca's games & they win 2 La Ligas and a CL. He also says that Fabregas will get a 'loyalty' pay-off from Arsenal, which he's previously said was around £4m.

So Arsenal could end up getting only £26m :o
