It's one reason why if I ever need to have a proper conversation with someone I don't do it via text or email. As has been demonstrated it's very easy to misunderstand something and see it in a completely different light.

Or why don't you think about what all the possible meanings of my posts could be, rather than me thinking a little more about how my posts will come across to you?
Edit - From your post below, it doesn't appear this will happen.
I'll continue to make up my mind as and when I read a post. You have to understand that no one want's to look bad on the internet so it's quite easy to change the details that aren't posted to make a different outcome possible.
I will however give MisChief the benefit of the doubt as I like to believe in the good in everyone

I guess until you meet them you won't know for sure.
Nothing wrong with dating two people in my opinion as long as it's only one person when the fun stuff starts

Yeah I agree, I'm hedging my bets as I have found things aren't always as they seem. I have a favourite already though, but who knows.
One of the main things I've learned about internet dating is no matter how someone comes across via text, email or even over the phone it's not until you meet them that you can be sure if they're what you're looking for.
I had one date which in paper seemed perfect. We exchanged several emails, moved onto MSN and then to phone calls. We both admitted it was almost too prefect so we arranged a meet. She was that comfortable with me we met at her house for a drink before heading out into town.
The problem was there was zero chemistry between us in person. So we said our goodbyes about 20 minutes after meeting.
It's a bugger. My favourite way will always be through friends, followed by a night out, as the chemistry is instant. Of course you could then find out their boring after that. It's quite hard to find a situation where you get the best of both world.

Internet dating can be awesome but like you say meeting someone at a party etc and having that initial spark is something I much prefer over numerous emails and disappointments.

It is your perogrative to post in a way to get up people's backside, it is also my perogrative to bring it up when I see it too. I find it offensive that's all.
As for me needing a hobby, you and the whole forum knows I have them and know what that is. So thanks for proving me right again about your post being abrasive, it is sly digs like these that are uncalled for and unnecessary.
But hey, you do what you want, and I do what you want. Ultimately that's how you come across, whether you care or not (I doubt) that is your perogrative as well.
