it would be madness to suggest that utd wouldn't be favourites vs basel. that we could only draw at home and actually lose away indicates severe issues on and off the pitch.
but ultimately its like i said on the day. utd in crisis. and who do we bring on to get that required goal? Macheda obviously - and he is now expected to leave in January. I was like, for real- we just brought Macheda on? might as well have been heskey to be fair. i was shacking my head as big M kicked the ball out for a goal kick with his first touch.

Don't agree with you often mate, but that was exactly my reaction at the time, I sat there in disbelief that we brought him on, has fergie not been watching the cup games, the lad has no touch, no passing ability and absolutely zero tactical awareness. I actually would safely say, fitness levels aside, i could do a better job than him in a Manchester Utd shirt.
