ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 2

They've always listed two 'hero' Android tablets for 2012. One was obviously a 1920*1200 prime.

But aren't they aiming at the same market for both devices? Seems odd to release them so close to one another.

While it feels like a slight kick in the balls it's not all that bad I guess. The article linked is amusing though;

You’ll have the latest and greatest Android tablet for 3 to 6 months, which runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb until ASUS releases a software update in who knows how many weeks

He says that when ICS comes out a whole 3 days after posting the article :p.

Hmm, Prime now or Prime+ in a few months.... if the prime had the plastic back then it probably wo9uldnt even be an issue.

That's the problem with Asus products like this; they release a new updated model every few weeks so you always feel cheated.

iPad gets away with a metal back though doesn't it?

The apple logo is not metal and is used as a "window" for the antennas to send/receive signals without being blocked by metal.

The entire back is aluminium on the Prime without any "window"

What? Their last tablet was the transformer mk1. The prime comes with two different resolutions. Are you really complaing about choice?

I'm getting the issue where the Android Market search isn't showing me all the apps available. Does anyone know a fix for this and whether it could be down to the fact that it's running US firmware but is on a UK Wi-Fi connection?

I pulled my Prime back out of its box this morning after hearing about the early release of ICS, but there is no update there for me yet.

Anyone else had the update yet?
