Dunno, I get 5kg for £40, unflavoured mind
I just got 5kg of Pea-Protein for £25.. Its an acquired taste to get used to...![]()
Anyone tried this OxyElite Pro ?
does it work?
can I take it with creatin?
Aye, rather not have the Pea. The 5KG bag lasts a while anyway, and last longer than the same amount of chicken I could buy for £40, so hey![]()
Is the Myprotein new years pack worth it?[/QUOTE
Yes, if you enter MHDEAL as a voucher code then it's only £50 as well. You definately get a lot for the money. I'm coming up to the end of my current package now and will be ordering again at the weekend. It has just about lasted me the month as well. Pretty much have no oats left and a few shakes each of the total protein and recovery xs.
Obviously the daily vitamins will last two months as you get 60 in a tub.

I still need to get through my oats. The GF said she will make something using them instead of just dumping them in a shake.. Nom nom![]()
So you're no doubt paying a ridiculous markup for what is effectively just protein, creatine and some amino acids?
Has anyone else had issues with shin splints when using creatine mono?
(Apologies if this has been discussed before, I haven't managed to read the entire thread).
I started using creatine mono for the first time at the end of last year. As soon as I went for my next run, my shins were killing me after about a mile and I had to stop for a rest. This continued for a couple of weeks. I only run 5K once a week so its not lke I'm doing marathons, plus I'd never had any problems before now (been running for 4 years).
I spoke to a Phy Ed instructor here and he said it sounded like I had compartment syndrome. I looked it up, what do you know, there was a study saying it had been linked to the use of creatine mono. I stopped taking it that day (a Monday), then went for a run the following weekend - the shin aches have completely gone! So that's totally convinced me.
It's a shame, as I did seem to notice a slight improvement in my look when taking the creatine; perhaps I can work out some sort of reduced intake that will give me some benefit (especially as a vegetarian), without killing my shins.
