Carroll apparently extremely disappointed with how the swap story has come to light, maybe it is a legit story then?
 
Where have you heard that Carroll is extremely disappointed?

And I'd genuinely be stunned if there's an ounce of truth that we tried to sign Tevez at all, regardless of Carroll.

I would, don't think he's commited to Liverpool in the slightest, he played with the same level of intensity EVERYWHERE he's ever played. When you see him interviewed he's just the complete professional, will never give less than 100% on the pitch and intends to retire the day he can't give 100% on the pitch.

Also the way he talks about being mouthy on the pitch just being part and parcel of being aggressive in personality on the pitch, you can't separate them.

Tevez, likewise, I've never seen give less than 100% on the pitch, when he doesn't want to be somewhere, he doesn't want to be somewhere, that is different, Tevez didn't want to be there all last season and was their best player and most important player in getting CL football.

Commitment on the pitch is exactly what those two players are about, and both quality.
