GAME lose another supplier

That's the end of GAME then. You can't allow something this big to happen and continue to survive, EA are absolutely huge.

thats fair enough saying that, I used to work for GAME during uni -back in the day, it was clear years ago they were gonna end up like this - it shouldnt be a surprise to anyone especially employees and if they have had any sense they would be well on track in looking for new work by now.
 
Terrible news...only from a personal standpoint :(

My mate works in Gamestation, full time assistant manager, and with his wedding coming up later in the year I'm sure this is the last thing he needs.

Seems to be only a matter of time, I'm trying to find out from him if he's been told anything yet, if at all.
 
Just wondering if the other Game/Steam/EA shennanigans had any impact on this.

Mind you I remember ordering somethign for £12.99 would have preferred the digital code emailed but they wanted £29.99 for that. It was a steam game too so it wasn't as if it was using Games BW/server.

Also despite the company being ran by idiots, feel sorry for the smaller guys in the stores.
Hopefully they can relocate you guys somewhere/how

Not if pre-ordered online, that's how I got a £5 voucher today. Obviously GAME can't keep afford to giving goodwill away like this. But equally they are trying to limit the damage here.
 
Tbh it sucks for the high street stores, not only are they being squeezed by mail-order vendors but with the big publishers setting up direct downloads, it's even in their interests to wipe out the high street stores as all it will do is push people more towards their direct download service - sucks to be them! :p
 
The last time EA was dropped, we witnessed the death of a console and a hardware manufacturer ceased to exist in its form at the time.
 
Why all the hate for Game btw? I dont shop there anymore, havent for a while due to CEX, and I have friends who work at Gamestation(Hot Goth girl<3) But its strange how people can hate a store? I used to love the place when it first opened. Used to go on a lunch break to nerd out for an hour with my fellow nerds. I'm actually kind of sad it's going down the pan =(

The last game I bought was Zelda for the Wii back in 2006. (In store at least). I have used them many a time for online purchases as they have been very good. Pre-order exclusives and generally arriving a day early. I used to use play.com but their delivery has become a lottery. Ebay has always been the best for pre-owned games so that aspect of Game has never interested me.

I think personally they have a great online system so would be great if they could keep that.
