I appreciate this testing Gzero. What more can we expect from you in the coming days?

A lot more when I get better wages. :D

For the most part all I can do at the moment is whinge at people to get on empty servers with specific settings and try to line up test cases.

Surprised nobody seems to do this any more, Quake 3 days were amazing as you could get the benchmark results from all kinds of specs as people were willing to overclock just an extra 50mhz to see if it made a difference. :D

You mean when quality existed back in those days? and wasn't obsessed with profit and rehashes, as well as milking DLC? while hiding behind the excuse for fast hardware that can rip through poor programming?

haha u aint the first to say! but true! they shouldnt turn up then as its a waste of time they get pumped every week! we was gonna stop playing after 10 but our players were being ****s and wanted the goal difference!

DG that guy aint cheating at all! hes a metro m320 spamming whore! never plays vehicles and rest of his weapon accuracy is terrible! i bet he dies but people just res him again!

how people can play like must be the most simple minded sad pricks to ever live! same map same weapon over and over again! BORRRRIIINGGGGGGGG!

his top 2 weapons m320 and USAS!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

100's even 1000's of people have got a fav map, weapons and so on,this does not make them simple minded pricks.
i am one of those who choose metro as a better map and i choose to use the 320's and other weapons as i feel free to play with. but i am afraid i am not a simple, sad *****, BORRRRIIINGGGGGGGG as you so put it
only the sad simple minded BORRRRIIINGGGGGGGG kid would think this way
for god sake kid its a game. does it really matter???

It's the time that i should've done a youtube video, you know those that have like 20 people in front and you just mow them down :D. They didn't know what hit em half the time, think i found my fav weapon for mass slaughter that isn't an m320 lol
What gun?

I've started using the SG552 which is pretty nice. I can't decide whether I prefer the way it handles over the Scar though - quite like the fact you can drop someone in a couple of shots with the Scar at range as an engineer.

What order did you progress kits in? I'm finding that being a low engineer rank is probably the biggest killer on vehicle maps, simply because the RPG/SMAW do next to nothing, and the Stinger is worse than useless. I'm just pushing to unlock the Javelin now.

I'm terrible with recon - I just don't know the maps well enough to find a safe sniping spot, and can't aim quick enough to not get nailed, or if I have time, I'll mis-judge the distance and miss by miles.

Also, just ordered a new mouse - Logitech G9X, yays. Hopefully it won't do the annoying double click on the right button my Copperhead has started.

Got the same mouse and I'm very good at sniping. You'll love it

From some testing I've noticed that tweaking that network meter to the left has a detrimental effect of fps, guessing the cpu is getting loaded up with more work. Don't feel the need to overclock my i5 750 if it's just a threading issue though.

Thats the interpolation slider.

Instead of drawing things on screen where it thinks they are, it instead waits for the server to tell it where things are.

Draw it all the way to the left, and it will perform no interpolation at all, and only draw updates when it receives them from the server. All the way to the right, and it will just guess and not wait at all for the server.

Usually on UK servers you can have it somewhere to the left of the middle, maybe even very low down if your connection and the servers connection is good enough. On foreign servers, draw it all the way to the right.

It may looks like it affects FPS, but its not a result of any CPU / GPU workload, it just changes the way the games draws things. If it stutters its not because the CPU is overloaded, thats the gaps in the server sending information to the client.

i'm looking forward to it. Unfortunately it's the MW3 version, but I'll just have to wear the logo down with use (or source a replacement grip - should be easy enough).

What DPI setting do you use for sniping? When I'm playing engineer/assualt/support I find around 800dpi to give a good balance. 1600 for vehicles and 2000 for flying.

I use RAW input and mouse smoothing turned off properly via the software for the mouse and keep it on 5700dpi for pretty much everything. Sniping is really easy at this level of sensitivity but it depends on what you are use to though. 800dpi with my settings would be insanely small movements on the screen, which could be nice for long range headshot efforts.

Any idea where I should be setting it to play on UK servers from Moscow (4MB connection)? I have been using it fairly close to the left but sometimes people warp.
