No way man, that scope sucks, too much on screen!

I recommend the Kobra or the red dot sight for close/med range, if you want some magnification I'd go for the russian 3.4x scope.

Pin an enemy behind cover with heavy suppressing fire while your squadmates flank them.

None of it would be too hard if not they wouldn't try and sell the Frostbite engine and tools

What is hard is providing a modding ground support for the game to handle different map, models, game types etc without a lot of work from their part. All of which doesn't give them "that" much benefit with their plans for subscription models and DLC.

That's fine, but you don't even need to aim at anyone any more to suppress them.

Edit: Actually watch this video and then tell me that's the way it should be and all is fine and dandy.

I quite like the disorientation aspect of having my vision blur when I've got rounds coming at me. What I don't like, though, is the thought that my bullets start going everywhere

Also - does it not seem to work on snipers?

I've sprayed a good few rounds at snipers, and still get head-shotted!!

I personally like the idea of suppression, but the way they've done the massively inaccurate return fire is stupid. I'd prefer it if they still blurred your screen and increased recoil whilst suppressed - It'd be harder for you to shoot back but would still be possible if you aim carefully at least.

You don't get 50 points for missing. You get 50 points for laying down fire which disorientated the enemy and helped your advancing team mates to kill them. You seem to have it in your head that you always need to make a kill, and that any time you don't, you've failed.

Either way, the desired effect is achieved; the enemy doesn't fire back (unless they are stupid enough to not realise that the whip cracks and dust flying around them are being generated by a hail of lead from an emplaced machine gun, and so decide to stick their heads out).

I agree that post patch the effect has been vastly exagerrated. But this doesn't mean that the basis of the mechanic isnt a good idea that was originally well implemented. And it certianly doesnt deserve comments like "its just a reward for missing your target" or "its a crutch for poor players" because you've misunderstood why it's there.

The people stating that the hit-reg in BC2 is better than BF3 are wrong imo. It is far better in BF3 and everyone I regularly game with (who are BF2 / BC2 vets) all agree. It must be your connections as I have not experienced dodgy hit detection once.
