****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Doesn't go past the splash screen, holding the three safety buttons (power, home, vol up/down) only hangs the phone too and freezes up...

Kaput! :(

What ROM? Not noticed worse battery on mine from LP7 to LPS! I'll flash back to LP7 and run a day long test to check.

MHL doesn't work on AOSP/AOKP yet. Well MKV apparently works but not video mirroring of the OS itself etc.

Edit*

3G performance seems not too different to LPS modem on LP7, I know Modem doesn't control anything WiFi related so wasn't expecting any difference here but the slight increase in mobile network performance seems to be margin of error if anything. I'd expect it to fluctuate between 1-2Mb anyway.

The top 2 results are from just now with LP7 modem, bottom results were earlier today with LPS modem.

I'm at 56% after 13 hours on LPS modem so will charge over night, unplug at the same time later today and see what it's like same time tomorrow.

I had the same problem Cyclone, it was fixed by using one of the cf-root kernels.

I had another elderly moment :(

I reinstalled the rom and the notification was still there. It was due to the data usage in the settings and changing the limit removed the icon.

Ive also noticed an 'x' where clear should be and it works fine now. Other than having a **** attack im very happy. :o

For a smooth rom have a look at Neat Rom.

Thanks for the help guys.

Leave GPS running using GPS Test with the screen timeout setting disabled in the app. Leave it for 20~ minutes if need be. The GPS configs train over time for the first time you run a GPS app.

Also, use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447599

This needs to be done once for the first time every time you flash a new ROM or update ROMs and after this point GPS lock will happen within seconds regardless of if you're inside or outside a building.

Going by install method 3 i just need to flash the zip in CWM, right? I dont know what 'no ssl' bit means so should i just download agps.patch.google.build.v3.1.zip?

Thanks

Download the latest firmware for your region from the Intratech thread over at XDA and use ODIN to flash it. Then use the USB jig to reset the counter (I have no idea how the jig does that or how it works).

Doubt you'll need to reset the counter as it's unlikely they'll check that but if you want to be 100% safe, you could do it.

Easier to just replace the gps file using root explorer or es file explorer really.

Use no ssl but it doesn't really matter.

My experience is similar, though you must have really hammered the phone indeed! Normally you can easily finish the day with normal or even heavy use. I find that if you don't use the phone a lot you can easily get 2 days out of it, so the deep sleep works very well indeed, better than other ROMs I have played with. Still liking the Sensation ROM a lot, best experience on a phone I've had so far.
