Yeah, I only just realised that after I posted the message
I think the title of the message is just the first few words off your message...
This is the trick I think I'm missing....I set my standards fairly high, and tend to not message a girl even if she's alright looking!
My fatness tolerance is very low but I'll make an effort for anyone else that messages me. Unles of cors thay speek lik dis
Got caught out with the last one mind, she looked quite nice in the pics but was a bit wider in the flesh than the camera portrayed, god damn myspace angel!!, so not attracted to her at all, still a good friend though (she asked me out to Sunday lunch this week actually) and we do a charity evening together occasionally.

Depends on the person you're talking to really, I tend to be pretty forward and find talking online to a complete stranger a bit awkward, whereas in person, I can talk for days on end
I also think if you leave the online chatting too long, it just fizzles out and leads to nothing, so I'd probably say after a couple of days if conversation is flowing online, then go for it and ask her out for drink.
Just re-joined POF aswell, so here's hoping I get a few dates in person!
This one seems nice but the days between each message seems a bit long!, sent about 4-5messages so far with her responding. But there might be a day to three days for a response to each message, even though she is online and reads it. So she'l read it, then 4days later you'll get a response lol
Might go back on POF some time soon, twas loads of fun and worst comes to worst it ends in *** quite a lot.

I've stayed away from the online dating web sites and left them alone for now as I feel quite disheartened about the whole ordeal at the moment!
I think I'll be going out and getting to know girls that way as it seems to be a hell of a lot easier..unless girls start messaging me on the dating web sites..which they never do anyway!

speed dating ^^ give it a try , considerably better experience than any online 'dating' site.

ps. when i went half the girls tagged me , more than any interest I got on dating sites, and one of the girls I meet there has now been my partner for nearly 3 years.

Never tried Internet dating but if I did, I would only pay attention to women's photos I can see a recent full body photo of them. Not a photo you can only see their face and cleavage taken from a up above angle. Hiding their fat body and double chin.

Im not suprised, I have come across plenty of women in my previous jobs who do this on their dating profiles and get away with it..........until the person meets them face to face.
You sound surprised? It's odd how people still view internet dating so sceptically, as if it's the last refuge of the damned.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of 'normal' people on there just using it as a different way to meet people besides on a night out or through friends; the fact it happens to be based on an internet website has no relevence.
I had about 12 dates I think until I met the girl I'm with now, all of them were perfectly normal, really nice girls, they just didn't feel like 'the one' so I kept looking. Granted, there are some odd ones there too, but take a look around you next time you walk down the street or into a nightclub and you'll see plenty more...
Just get on with it and see what comes of it

This is pretty much why I joined POF. I tend to pull in clubs and meet/go out with girls from clubs and uni etc. but this is just another aspect of fun, it gets me out there meeting people with no relation to my friends circle and going to places you wouldn't normally! Also doesn't hurt meeting and having fun with a few more girls
