Why I click this thread. Tried my best to avoid spoilers for the German Cup final then I see those YT videos. Blah.

Oh well, proud to be born in Dortmund.

Anymore news on Kagawa joining Man U? Also, whats this talk about Dani Alves going to Russia?

Go make German league thread then since we have no where else to post it where it is actually on topic at the moment....

Manchester United are considering a £10million bid for Fulham's attacking midfielder Moussa Dembele as they start to rebuild in the likely event of losing their Premier League title to Manchester City.....

10m for Dembele would be a good bit of business imo, I'm almost resigned to the fact that there wont be any 'A-Listers' joining the club this summer (dunno if it's because we cant compete financially at the moment or there's just not as many as we think who are actually available) so it's going to have to be cheeky little signings like Kagawa for 7m (rumoured) to hopefully improve the squad

Kagawa should stay at Dortmund for another year. They've built a really good young team and could be a force in Europe next season.

He will go, he isn't signing a new contract and iirc only has a year left, Dortmund don't want to lose out on ~£15m and I doubt they can afford to either

I'd love Dembele, he is going to be so good in a season or two. Knew as soon as I saw him he was destined for a top club. I think he'd be awesome for us too out on the wings or through the middle

Totally agree, there has also been rumours about a cheeky bid around the same kind of figure for Baines as cover for Evra next season, not sure how Everton /Moyes would react, as DM would probably kill to get that kind of money to spend - good squad addition imo, but given Evra's form this season and he is getting on a bit, Im not 100% sure (Fabio situation doesnt help much)

Not sure if this is the right place to post but there's reports this morning that Liverpool are going to replace Kenny with Roberto Martinez. If true I'd love to know on who's advice that decision has been made. Whether you agree Kenny should be given more time or not not, Martinez is far too inexperienced to be considered for any role at the club.

LOL, that can't be true.

It's in virtually all today's papers. Maybe just the press making the most of off-the-cuff comments made by the the owner.

DAILY STAR SUNDAY said:
Liverpool's US owners are hugely impressed with Wigan boss Roberto Martinez.

THE PEOPLE said:
Liverpool are considering a dramatic shake-up with Roberto Martinez hot favourite to take over as boss from Kenny Dalglish.

SUNDAY MIRROR said:
Liverpool are preparing for life without Kenny Dalglish.

SUNDAY TIMES said:
The position of Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool manager is under review.

It does beg the question. Who pulls the shots at Liverpool on "footballing" matters. Are FSG really qualified to pick a successor if they want Kenny out.

If thats true then Liverpool will be fighting relegation next season:p. As much as i like Martinez, i dont think him being at Liverpool will help them in any way, shape or form. He hasnt done anything of note at Wigan, since hes been at Wigan, they have always fought relegation.

Must be the papers trolling Liverpool fans:p

Skrtel apparently handed in a transfer request according to Goal.com which was then picked up by the Mirror and a number of other papers despite being complete garbage ;)

Having said that, I'm of the opinion that Dalglish needs to move on and Martinez is one of the best young managers around. Got Swansea playing fantastic football and transferred that to Wigan despite having a limited budget and far worse players compared to most teams in the Premiership. Depending on what happens over summer he could be a good candidate to steady the ship.
