*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Going by what has now been said it doesn't look as if devices purchased from somewhere like Tesco (for example) qualify either... or has anyone received an email, or voucher which proves otherwise?
 
Thanks... I will have another go at registering mine later.

EDIT: Can't even log on to the Asus site now, it just says "Service Unavailable"!

I emailed them again today & it hasn't bounced yet , just have to wait & see if they are happy with my Tesco receipt :)
 
I registered my device on Sat. Still waiting for some sort of email. Did I register right? Just used the standard register product link, so it now appears in the same list as my laptop.

I registered my N7, one email arrived :- 10% off the store, then an other email arrived with instructions to email proof of sale to "'[email protected]" to qualify for £25 coupon.

Not had a reply yet :)
 
Probably hold off till January sales for one of these. (Big boy now :p) Not really sure I need 3G as it would just be more money again as I would have to keep topping up my sim card or £10 a month GiffGaff. £199 for a 32GB is pretty awesome though, possibly even cheaper after crimbo!
 
Totally stock no root or cwm and have manually updated.

Couple of things though is the settings swipe down isn't two finger, its on the right and the normal swipe down is on the left. Also my wallpapers don't fit the same as they used to.

One of the most basic things that should have been there from start is autofit/pinch to zoom on gmail, reading emails is so much better now..

^^ Download the latest nexus root toolkit 1.5.5.from wugfresh.com, set device type to nexus 7 "any build" and run. Sorted :)

Updated and kept root (asked if I wanted to fix the loss of root via CWM), wish I hadn't bothered now, what was a buttery smooth tablet has turned into a jerky mess now :(
