Been playing the handheld version on my tablet for the last few days. It is still great, but it is just a little too simplified imo. Of course it can't be as deep as the PC version, but two features that it doesn't so well without are team-talks and press conferences. It doesn't feel like you have enough influence....and a few more tactical options would have been nice

Nordin Ambrant has been one of those brilliant FM buys from fm10 for me, every year I have found him and loved it (though he's not quite as good in recent years). John Hetinga is a great option too, despite him annoying me one two many times at Everton and being replaced...

One of the few players that i will keep
Out of the team, only like 16 players have 3* ability+. The rest are all under, and will have to leave.
The best players are foreigners, so I can't really count on them. The team is one of the best in the league, but I want an all-star team to challenge for the CL (at least round of 16/8) but all the best Turkish players are VERY expensive
There are many good players transfer listed, but they are all foreign. Oh well.

Does the Turkish thing count for people who's second nationality is Turkish too?? That should make it a bit easier to find eligible players that aren't in the foreign quota...
I know he is German, but yes, the Turkish league considers people with Turkey as a second nationality, Turkish. (including players like Sahin etc.). I just bought a RB who is French, but has a Turkish nationality.
I can't find many good Turkish players
The ones I find are very average, and the clubs want 15M+ for each. Yes I have the money and all that, but is it really worth it? I prefer buying a 2* guy for 2/3M then sell him when I find a good player who is cheap. I only need 3 players though. DL, DC and MC (found one. Just need to sign him now )The foreigners, oh how they have changed. I signed a few big players!

A black LB who plays in Italy (he was wanted by top English teams I think)
A black French CB who has 3 names
Then I signed 3 more players (need to buy another 3) who are not famous/regens.
I want to finish the whole team before I give out names/pics. Should be done soon. 2 more players left to buy. One of them I found (need to agree on price) and the other I still need to find
The thing is that the best Turkish players or play in big teams (ex. Toprak, Gunter etc.) abroad and they are not interested, and the ones who play in Turkey, generally play at Fenerbache and Besiktas, and they would not want to join a divisional rival ( even transfer listed players in the reserve team!!)

All done now! Team is all set to go.
With a budget of 51M and a wage budget of 1.3M, I had a lot to work with. I was determined to make a beast team. The currant team was already good in comparison to my rivals, but I wanted to better it. As I said many times, the fact that I can only have 8 non-Turkish players was a pain, and it denied me from signing a few good players.
I decided that I would get the best foreigners possible, so I was ready to sell my foreigners, and get better players in those positions. I did manage to get a balance between Turkish and foreign. I have 7 foreigners. Most of them are first team players, which creates problems when choosing substitutes, but I will live with it.
Transfers:
Askin Bodur:
Bodur was bought on a free. he is Turkish, so that helps a lot. he was supposed to play on the right of the defense (as my cover) but due to other players bought (shown below) he will play on the left.
Okay Yokuslu:
Okay was a player of mine at Kayserispor. He is one of the better Turkish players, and one of the few who would join me. 17M is not cheap, even for a player like him, but hopefully it will pay off!
Pablo Armero:
I got Armero on a loan from Chelsea to replace Bryan Oviedo, who I sold for 15M. I have a future fee of just over 5M, which i intend to use for next season.
Daniel Sturridge:
Sturridge came on a free and he replaced Mobido Maiga. He is my best striker, and I couldn't let him slip from my hands.Hopefully, he scores a lot!
Mapou Yanga Mbwia:
This is Galatasaray's most expensive signing ever. He was transfer listed, and I bought him to replace Huga Ayala. He will no doubt be a first team starter, and hopefully, he can lead me to glory.
Ferda Polat:
I spent a lot on this 18 year old midfielder. He is not that good, and his potential ability was only of 4*, but I couldn't find any other good midfielders, and I needed one to complete the team. hopefully he develops in a good player.
Bilal Tukel:
I'm not sure how I managed to sign this guy. He was at Fiorentina, and he had very very very little interest in joining me (from the scout report). His release clause was 8.25M and I oferred that. My initial contract offer was over 100k, which got him to talk. Managed to get him down to just over 50k. He is Turkish too, which is a plus.
Sefa Aktas:
Aktas was the final transfer to complete my defence. He was signed before Bilal Tukel, but because he was 17, he had to wait till the 29th. He had to fill in the spot in the center, but when I bought Tukel, he moved to the right, moving Bodur to the left.
Because Galatasaray won the league, we had to play the Super Cup, against my ex-team Kayserispor. We dominated the whole game and around the 80th minute, towering center back Yanga Mbwia headed in to win us the game! We had to close it before but we just couldn't score.
Final:
I seem to have a problem scoring. This is what happened in the first game of the season. Disappointing.
In the Champion's league, I got drawn with Man City, Spartak Moscow and Rapid Wien. Hopefully I qualify

I finally got over the hated feeling at the end of the transfer window for L1 with Bishops Sortford and got on with the game, put Hull out of the 3rd round of the league cup on penalties after taking it to 4-4
Just annoyed my beast Wesh regen striker is constantly called up for Wales U21 which I can't opt out of
On the plus Bébé now has Abdul Razak to join him on random "should be good" players that now finally get a chance at Bishops Stortford (also have jesse joronen who's Fulham's 3rd/4th choice keeper on that list). Have to play Man United in the 4th round of the league cup which will be interesting tomorrow too...

Won the next game 1-0 and 4-0 (lost a pen too in this last game). Not sure how the big players like Sturridge and Yanga Mbwia decided to join, but I'm happy
If you focus on young players you will always do well. That is what i found at least. Players like Bebe are good for the L1.

Hope that risky keeper dist affects my keepers when they run to the wing to clear the ball to center where the MC scores a 40 yard goal... happened 4 times in one season.
News subscriptions post 13.2 update :-
A news item is generated for every team in the league's fixture that week if you have the league ticked in subscriptions. Turn off the "pre-match media" in the manage subscriptions section to fix this and while you're at it,
"Refereeing Performances".
If you start a new game they are not checked by default.

This update (along with the firmware fix for my mac mini) seem to have fixed the graphics!
Looks like I can run on high properly now!
Argh first dilemma of the game really, into december of my 4th season at Bishops Sotortford, L1 has been even closer than L2 and we are 6th after 21 games 3 points off top (though we just aren't putting our chances away so our gd is way off). Been offered the Inverness Cally Thistle job who are bottom of the spl with 8 points but only a win of safety. On the one hand they have a few beast players that I really want, Leon Britton for one, on the other hand they have sod all money for christmas and Bishops Stortford are on a roll, could luck promotion this year and if not should secure it next year with a couple of smart signings and a little more cash on the wage budget.
One to sleep on if my game stays in England to get the all the way up achievement or if I go to improve my career/reputation by taking bigger opportunities to probably end up with the Liverpool job fairly soon ('Arry has been there for a while and they look very broken now)
