Has anyone had any joy installing Origin in a locked-down Sandbox? I'd still like to give ME3 a go but no way am I giving Origin any sort of privileges on my system.

I loved ME2 and still have to play ME1. It'd just be nice if you weren't forced into installing Origin with it. A bit more googling reveals that this is in fact, doable. If you're happy for EA's software to go scanning your whole computer, fine, but I'm not.
Me neither (nothing to hide) but the EULA annoys me. I want to ensure that the info they get is minimal, hence a sandbox with absolute minimum access. I'm going to give it a go later in a VM.
They have 150 hp and can't take cover but.... they have a shield replenishing skill that affects those around them, they're half the height of all the other characters and they seem to auto cloak on low shields.
I bought this on PC for the MP. I'm having fun with it but so far playing solo can only get to Wave 3.
Partly this is because I'm not great at FPS games, unfortunately. But I am fairly sensible so would it be a terrible faux par to hop on to MP at Bronze and just give things a go? Or am I likely to get intsa-kicked?
