Fantastic :D

I dare say that Spanish clubs have to have a buy out clause that is at least valid for other spanish clubs in the league rules, doesn't stop Barca being asked to put in an "all clubs" clause in.

For instance its not legally mandated that English players have any buy out clause in their contracts, but they can if they want to.

Either way, half the buy out clause stuff we hear in the press is complete nonsense anyway, some of it is pure guesses, most clubs don't want the figure known, though I dare say agents take care of that. I can't remember who it was a few years ago, hmm Phil Jones? And they kicked up a fuss because realistically offering bang on the buy out clause when no one should know what it is, is dodgy as hell. I can't remember what happened then, did they end up paying a bit more than was officially his clause to keep them happy about it?

Either way with Falcao should we know the buy out clause and meet it, I would be shocked if others didn't and made our wage(and title hopes) offer look pathetic in comparison.

Cavani, sure, why not buy yet another striker, because thats where all our problems lie, not that I'd not want him, I just don't know which fullback position Wenger will use him in :p

Seriously we're about to have talked Walcott around to a 90-100k a week contract because we've used him upfront more and buy another striker. In reality I think Walcott is playing the contract game well, he's not worth 100k but Wenger's stupidity and Walcott making a stink about leaving is going to get him more money, I don't think he gives a crap where he plays, based largely on his lack of effort in almost every game he's played.

So the 30m could be a combination of Zaha and Cavani if we are to believe what SSN understands :D

Interesting if true, i do like Cavani but i cant see for the life of me where he will fit in?? From what i gather is that we have plenty of strikers/forwards.

What id really like Wenger to do is to take that £30mill and spend it on some decent quality defenders ie RB and LB because Sagna is useless and Gibbs is a walking disaster plus he gets injured a lot as well.

I would like a left back, right back, defensive mid, left winger, right winger and a striker please.

Not too much to ask for.

Oh, and get rid of half the dross. Not all of them otherwise we won't have a full squad

Fit in? He'd be your no 1 striker that's where :p

As Podolski is now quite clearly......... oh wait :p

Normal sane manager at Arsenal with current squad, buy Cavani play him upfront, send Diaby to dogmeat factory, high five Gervinho's forehead, and get on with your day.

Wenger at Arsenal, buys Cavani, puts him on the bench, plays Gervinho upfront, gives Cavani 6 mins in a game we're losing 3-0 then gets angry when Cavani doesn't save the game, then we won't see him for 2 months, then he'll appear in a cup game at left back, give Diaby, Gervinho, Rosicky and Walcott raises and get rid of Santi...... :p

Yep and that makes so much sense doesnt it when we have others that are sucking up wages and not getting a chance to play ie Chamakh is one example altho hes on loan at the moment with West Ham.

And what if Cavani is a flop a la Giroud?? then what?? again we have a player who is sucking up wages and not playing :/

Sorry personally i think Wenger needs to sort out our diabolical defence first and foremost then look at strengthening other positions.

Haha brilliant DM, you finally developed a sense of humour for once:p

It's funny because they're both right :D.

Andy is right, he would be your best striker, but then DM is also right and Wenger would probably play him out wide! :D.

Maybe it's because I've been awake almost 32 hours but it made me chuckle.

Thats the problem...we cant get rid of the dross mainly because they are on long contracts :/. This is where Arsenal and Wenger are failing so so hard, signing useless players on long contracts.

We need to but he won't, left and right backs are key, but as always, don't know how long I've been saying it, he won't buy where he thinks we have great players. He just handed Gibbs a long contract, and Ramsey, and let Jenks development die overnight when Sagna came back from injury, he thinks Gibbs/Sagna are great so won't replace them. Gibbs is only remotely useful going forwards against poor teams, and he's terrible defensively against everyone, Sagna is crap going forward against everyone(2 games with a few good crosses don't make a good player), and can't defend.

You never know a proper manager who actually asks our fullbacks to play more than about 2% of the game actually in position might make them significantly better, but I don't think it will genuinely turn them into good players, even if they aren't very good would still improve the team dramatically.

I really don't want to sign anyone, or do anything, I just want Wenger gone, if he bought a left back, I wouldn't trust him to sign a good one, if by miracle he flukes into buying a good one, I don't trust him to not screw them up by having a defence that has no system, no discipline and no brains.

I do think Verm individually has been outstanding, the number of times he got between 2 city players when they broke on us was amazing. He gets caught out a lot but 99% of the time its because a fullback has left him hanging. Defending isn't a one man job, its a 4 man job. Two fullbacks/and or a manager who tells them to do some defending will bring out the best in Kos/Verm.

Its comforting knowing that if we hit a massive injury crisis, we can recall the likes of Denilson, bendtner, Djourou and Park.

I mean, WTF!! Denilson, still on our books?!?! I want to cry. Really, I do. I times like this I would dig out and dust off the 97/98 season dvd or the invincibles dvd but I think that will make things a whole lot worse

Yep those lot are real world class players:p...who knows they might have been had Wenger given them proper chances and not dropped them so suddenly when they had a few bad games.

Im beginning to think the sooner Wenger goes, the better for us. At least with a new manager, he can start clearing out the deadwood currently rotting our club from the core.
