*** New Design 2012 iMac 21.5" & 27" ***

Finally they sending me the correct one, then collecting the wrong one and my original iMac. They offered a good will gesture to upgrade me to 16GB ram, but I already had 4x8GB kits from crucial. So instead got £200 apple credit as a good will gesture.

That's not bad service once you end up with the correct iMac. :D

Finally ordered my 27" as a replacement for my 2011 27" that has plenty of Wi-Fi issues and a nice pink tint on one side.

Was skeptical about going i7 but figured that I might as well, as the machine will be with me for the next five years or so (what's an extra £40 a year?). So i7, 680MX, 1TB Fusion Drive, and sticking with the 8GB RAM.

Interestingly, Apple told me to pack only the iMac alone, that I should keep the accessories (keyboard, mouse, and trackpad). Which means that I will have a one month old keyboard and completely unused trackpad and mouse for sale :D

Hopefully the machine won't take too long to arrive...

Doess Fusion work with Bootcamp, how does it work (same way?) I wonder?

I want to know this too...I think it places the bootcamp partition on the HDD and therefore you only see one drive/partition in Windows.

You definitely can't do it on the 3TB Fusion drive though (for reasons unknown!)

I'm guessing boot camp can only see MBR partitions and 3TB requires GPT??

What mouse is that you have available, I might be interested if it is the multitouch thing and not wired thing... I only have trackpad at the minute

Oh, if you like me, bought anything else with the iMac (Superdrive) they combine it first before you get tracking. I mean I got the tracking number when it was shipped but it didn't show up until it landed in the UK where it was combined.

Because of that, I had no warning of it when it will arrive, luckily I checked at 1am the night before (was like a hawk on UPS) and it showed it was in the country !!! It was in my house 9 hours later.

9 hours, that was how much warning I had lol

Balls. Was planning on booking a day off to sign for it and play with it. House is empty 9-5 Monday to Friday as we all work. Is there a way to specify (pay ) for Saturday delivery?

Well I couldn't be sure I'd get a 27" model with no IR so I picked up a month-old 21.5" model earlier for £765 :D

It'll tide me over for a couple of months til I'm more sure they will have sorted the issue :)
