I learnt the hard way. Crappy £10 PAYG phone and no wallet, just cash in my zippy pocket. Credit card is hidden in my car or stashed in a locker.

One festival to avoid is Leeds.
About 4/5years ago was possibly the worst.
One of our ice cream vans ended up on its roof. Carling lorry had its doors battered off with about 30 lads holding a tree and had all its crates stolen.
Another catering unit had just short of 30grand stolen.

Done download since 07 and wow was that amazing, best one yet!
Highlights were korn, slipknot, maiden ofc, sacred mother tongue, FFDP, stone sour, airborne, 30stm and the one and only RAMMSTEIN!
Not to forget the 29 year old stunner I pulled either.

Some people buy a ticket with the sole intention of doing this all weekend. It's quite organised.
Done download since 07 and wow was that amazing, best one yet!

Back home now had a great weekend. Weather on friday was crap but got better over the whole weekend.
I enjoyed everybody on the Friday main stage, except Down who were just plain bland, Korn and Papa Roach both played blinding sets and Slipknot were good as usual, but really need to get over the whole Paul Gray thing.
Saturday was a bit of a disappointment, AiC and QoTSA were dull but thought Mastadon where there usual immense selves. Heaven Basement on the 2nd Stage and later in the afternoon Thunder were both really good. KVELERTAK on the 3rd stage were pretty good. Didn't stay for Maiden as they do nothing for me at all.
Sunday stayed at the main stage all day, Sacred Mother Tongue did a amazing opening set and enjoyed Cancer Bats, Coal Chamber and Parkway Drive. FFDP were utterly brilliant, never seen a crowd like that so early in the day, Stone Sour were really good as well. Found Gas Light Anthem and 30STM both a bit dull. Rammstein destroyed the place, nobody else was close to being in their league they were simply amazing.
Going to book my tickets for next year at the weekend as they are doing a pre-book offer.

Not long gone home from the weekend. Unlucky Thundy That really sucks.
Had an absolute mental weekend, met some mad/fun people on the campsite, drank a lot, got soaking wet and muddy not to forget sunburnt to hell.
As to the music, really awesome. Down, Korn, Paparoach and Slipnot were good (would say great if my back wasn't in agony along with my feet), really enjoyed Mastadon (despite lack of stage presence) through Iron Maiden on Saturday - the spitfire was awesome! Major goosebumps at that point and the atmosphere was amazing.
Went to see POD yesterday, which was a mistake. The sound guy in that tent needed to be shot, it was horrific. Sounded like the first years sorting out gigs back at my student union years back. Bass, more bass and lots of distortion.
Oh and Rammstein...... Epic... Was so hot watching them, never been in such a packed crowd, add in the lack of any rain to cool the place and all the pyrotechnics I was burning up. Never seen so many people have to leave a gig due to looking like they were passing out from the heat!

This is why I pay for lockers. PITA to go find hungover every morning, but it keeps my phone charged and monies safe.

Awesome weekend. Highlights for me Architects, Papa roach, Korn, Slipknot, FFDP, Nekrogoblikon, Mastadon, Motorhead, Jimmy eat world, enter shikari, iron maiden (& spitfires) parkway drive, stone sour, Rammstein
Managed to get about 5 rows from the front in the middle for Iron maiden and Rammstein somehow. It was like a boiling hot bouncing boiler. Even met the drummer of Nekrogoblikon when watching Rammstein. Im burnt, battered and minus the £1 sunglasses. They survived many circle pits but got stomped to bits in a final moshpit at some point on sunday.
Time for some proper food. I have been running on cheeseburgers, cider and morgan spiced mix since thursday. Bad to hear about theft thundy. I was in red camp near the back and it didnt seem too bad - we were right next to the security tower and flood light. A bit annoying as you could hear radio chatter all through the night and it was like permanent daylight. Apparently 2 rapes in yellow camp, that was on sat morning we heard that.
I kept my valuables on me at all times (zip bag with money in, crappy phone and camera on a zip cord)

Damn, nasty to hear, we were in yellow. Had overheard something about rape but didn't think it was on our camp, explains the rush of police one night.
I know a guy broke his leg at the top of Yellow over the weekend, was chatting to the security guys, they had to drag him down on a sled as the path to the top of yellow was barely walkable. Guessing they couldn't even get the 4x4s up at that point
Also heard about 2 guys dying? One in a fight and the other overdosing? But that was just along the grapevine so no idea whether it is true.
Shame that bad things happen and taint an event like this, the event itself was fantastic - just a few issues on the campsite bringing down the tone.

I was in yellow, we were near the top of the hill. Had a gazebo setup.
Go, i slept with my tent open 2 nights. Im not a 16 year old girl and someone trying to rape/rob me is pretty unlikely! More likely to die ODing but thats my fault
