I remember getting X-beyond the frontier when it first came out all them years ago when I was about 14 and at that time you had to buy seta in the game you didn't start with it like you do now days.
I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but it looks like it will also be a 64bit only game as well as using multiple cores on the CPU.
That might be the first time ever for a game?

And we've had 64bit CPUs since what... P4? Bout time.
I introduced a friend to X3 last year - being his first X game he dove straight into an open world/no plot game.
He didn't know about the SETA button, so he used to aim at a destination, go downstairs and have his tea, then regularly go back to his computer to make sure he hadn't crashed into a rock / been attacked / missed the jump gate.
He played like this for a week.
Haha that's brilliant. What was his reaction when you showed him the SETA function?
The X Series are incredibly difficult to get into but very rewarding if you can get past the steep learning curve. I just hope they improve the station management bit because all my stations used to look like dogs dinners, tubes and factories all over the place. It was kinda impossible to actually make them look neat. Really upset my OCD![]()
It is worth £35.99, you can spend £50 on the latest new fps and only get 10 hours gameplay.
