Thought Twitch was available on it, or is it a case of the uk missing out on stuff as usual?

I take it since you said bf4 done the same its a software problem and not hardware

BF4 crashed for a lot of people off here all the time. It's a software issue but it could be the console operating system. Who knows?

Bf4 has just given me my first BSOD in a while just now.

If it's happening with a few games then I'd say it's a console issue. Probably something do with the operating system.

*edit* Having a quick look on Google it seems it's definitely a firmware issue.

well it's the first game to really push the system. A lot of people on here have the game so maybe they can chime in if they also have noticed this or is your ps4 in a tight space or in a room/location with a high ambient temperature?

In a tv cabinet with about 4 inches either side of it and about 3 at the top, open front and back.

I had mine in v similar cabinet set up. Made my ps4 overheat even though you would think it was a well ventilated fairly open space. Moved to on top and now ps4 back to near silent running even running infamous.

Location makes a big difference it would seem.

The only time my PS4 is noisy is before the drive spins down, the fans aren't noisy at all, though my console isn't restricted in any way.

As above the only time mine makes a noise is the disk drive, incidentally, I think the last update stopped the disk spinning for way longer than necessary like it used to.

mine is whisper quiet 24/7 only makes a noise for 5 seconds when i start battlefield 4 or lego (my only non digital games)

All the ones I have had have been like this. Although they all switched off on shutting down, Do you mean on quitting the game ?

Killzone and especially Infamous ramp the fan up quite a bit.
