Exactly. Look at the contributions of the likes of Fred and Diego Costa playing in much better teams and in their preferred role. Rooney has hardly done badly.
Müller does ok

Caller on talksport is bang on. Hendo and Gerrard were too deep vs Italy...Woy did it again against Uruguay. Hodgson should be replaced after this.
Me personally, i would say Sterling.
Rooney is dog ****, always been over-hyped. Mind you i am someone who says Van Persie is **** when deep down i know i am talking porkies(though i am not with rooney, he really is just ****)
Müller does ok.
Roy is no doubt a nice person, but he's the wrong man for this job.
<3 Suarez
Not really sure why Gerrard is getting so much stick, he misjudged a header that went to an unmarked player. It's hardly 'bottling' it or passing it to Suarez on purpose
We were a mess in defence and a mess in attack but you can't blame any one player because everyone sucked tonight.
As for Hodgson, the FA publically stated he would be in charge of England until 2016 back in May so we're stuck with him.
I don't think we've had the right man for the job since Robson or maybe Venables, perhaps![]()

Rooney played well, I hate Rooney but he had a good game. Good movement, made chances and have a **** unlike moSt.
Criticising him after tonight is bandwagoning.
We'll never have a capable side till they sort it out at grass roots level, these days they'd rather build new housing estates on football fields though.
Who is the right man?
England's problem is much deeper than the wrong manager or not playing that flavour of the month youngster that everyone thinks would set the stage alight.
