At least Suarez should get a new sponsorship deal with Subway now anyway. They should be able to shift a few Hearty Italian BMTs off the back of this surely?

Some of the attempted deflection in here, mainly by Liverpool fans, is quite impressive. Cantona, Keane, not as bad as an elbow, other times players have made bad tackles, bribing refs etc.

Some comments from Uruguayan players and the manager are unbelievable as well. One of them(possibly even Suarez himself, can't remmeber) said that it happens in a game and it is only being blown up because it is Suarez... Well if that is true they should able to provide plenty of examples of others players doing it as it is so common!

It's rather unsettling that Suarez keeps misbehaving in quite spectacular ways but he's surrounded by people telling him he hasn't done anything wrong and it isn't his fault. At Liverpool Evra was blamed, then the FA, then the media, then when it became clear what had happened there was still a reluctance to actually accept and apologise. The Uruguay camp are reacting very similarly to Liverpool, denying any wrong doing, blaming Chiellini, blaming the press, the Italians.

I know he's quite good at football but there surely has to be a time when people wake up and act like the adults there are, condemn him and insist he changes his behaviour.

While he's surrounded by the likes of Liverpool and Uruguay it's quite possible that he'll continue to be told 'oh Luis you're good at footie!' 'oh Luis, it's the FA and media constructing lies, you're wonderful, you're innocent'!

Uruguay's reaction has been almost as startling as the event. They're all grown men. It's odd. At what stage will people realise that it's really quite inconsequential that he happens to be good at football? He's a bad egg who drags everybody down with him.

It all depends on the sanction/affect on his value/etc. Remember Mutu? He got sacked after testing positive for cocaine use... Chelsea then got ~£15m out of him.

We are talking about Liverpool here tbh. There is absolutely no way they'll do that, they will support him and tell him he did nothing wrong.

So basically Liverpool believed his side of the story over Evra who has history with race card cases.

Then when it was clear he had done something wrong he was called out by the club and forced to apologise (biting Ivanovic) or his obvious dive.

Don't compare Uruguay lying that nothing happened when there is clear evidence to Liverpool believing their player over Evra.

Did they actually get it? I know he ****** up but that's a lot of money to sue someone of Mutu's level.

I think DM has been making good points throughout. It doesn't matter what others have done, what matters is that this is just the latest in a very long list of things that he's done that other players do get vilified for, he's just the worst of the lot.

He's a genius footballer, of that there is no doubt, but he's a troubled individual that repeatedly fails to act as required and therefore should not be allowed to continue his career.

Next time you are in a bid review, or a KPI meeting, or at a customer conference, go bite someone from another company.

Do it two more times.

Why shouldn't you be taken to the nearest 'facility' or locked away?

16/17 seconds in - is he trying to bite his arm?!

You know what I hadn't seen that but, it does kind of look like that :p

I think it's a coincidence... I'm not entirely sure.

Did anyone else read the first part of the Suarez lawyer sentence and think... that isn't good english.

"We don't have any doubts that this has happened because it's Suarez....

not the best way to phrase your defence :p

The only sad part about the image is that there should be multiple x's in most categories for Suarez, and Barton... I really don't know who is worse between them. Barton is a **** but his absolutely worst things came off the pitch(well off a match pitch). From recollection knocking Dabo unconscious, stubbing a cigar out in someone's eye(was it a youth player or something, I can't remember where/how it happened) and some kind of assault outside a McD's like a proper chav. Thing is he actually did jail time for those, he's a complete maniac as well and I feel sorry for anyone forced to be on the pitch with him.

Another player who never thinks he did anything wrong and also never learns. He's not from recollection a huge diver and doesn't do things quite as mental as biting, but does plenty of bad tackles. Though, while I kind of presume there are some terrible tackles I can't remember any leg breakers off the top of my head. Nasty and wanting to inflict pain but not necessarily jumping in trying to injure in the same way Suarez has.

Tbh, if we are talking off the pitch as well DM, then Zlatan is worst of the lot. Really horrible person. He is not right in the head either.

Suarez is a despicable human being and should be banned from football. It's not his first offence and you can bet it won't be the last either. I can't believe some people on here are defending him with 'oh it's just a scratch' and such like. This time it was a bite, next time it could be a career ending stamp. It's just a matter of time until he seriously damages someone but apparently that's fine because it (probably) won't be a Liverpool player.

I'd be very surprised if it was only a 2-3 game ban for normal violent conduct, did they say Song got a 4 game ban for his elbow, which wasn't really bad, just stupid and odd.

But the FA gave Suarez a 10 game ban for the second bite because they specifically stated they were taking into account he has bitten someone before. Fifa should, hopefully, take into account the two previous bites even if not all his previous conduct.

FA/Fifa are a bit weird about bans for the same offence, ie in the league you can get a red + 3 game ban for violent conduct, but you would only get a 1 game red for then getting two yellows, they don't add on. If you get a second red for two yellow cards, then it would be a 2 game ban, if you got another red for violent conduct it would be a 4 game ban. They are really into increasing punishment for the same offence(or bracket of offences). Which works heavily in Suarez's favour seeing as he's an equal opportunity offender, no matter the offence he does it just as often :p

If FA/Fifa ever added up all his wrong doing and then decided on a ban, it would have to be passed down all the way through to his great grandchildren to see it out.

Fifa may punish it in isolation to the world cup or internationals and not take into account the other bites, who knows. Fifa/FA/Uefa make up the rules for these things. I hope how they are reacting to it counts against them.

You could see it written all over Suarez's face after they qualified that he knew how much **** he was in. I mean look at how happy he was against Ghana in south africa, banned for the next game yet bouncing around like a jackass when they went through. This time, looked like someone killed his cat.
