What film did you watch last night?

Guardians of the Galaxy.

Easily the second best film I have seen this year (behind dawn of the planet of the apes) it was an enjoyable yarn from start to finish.

All of the main characters were very strong in their own way, and it was funnier than I expected it to be.

7/10. It would have been better if they showed the 3 labours in the movie in full. As I was expecting they would have. Some ok scenes, it's worth a watch once.

Riddick 6/10 (available on Norwegian Netflix) pretty similar to pitch black.
It's such a good universe and they could do so much and they just make pretty much the same film, disappointing to say the least. Not a bad film if you get over that though.

I enjoyed Riddick, but in saying that it was a good few years ago I watched it so my memory of it may be skewed.

I sat through Sharknado a few nights ago. It was better than I expected in a "So bad its good" kinda way.

The kings of Summer. The director needs shooting. A good film wrecked by arty farty pointless shots and music. Infuriating. If it was just normal it would score a lot higher. 6/10

True just come back from watching it tonight, one of the few comedy films that had the whole cinema laughing. At points plenty of the audience was clapping at the end of some jokes, very non British lol.

I hope you're right. I love the series but I thought the first movie was pretty awful. It had a few good laughs in but just left me thinking this is something that does not translate to movie format.

Planet of the Apes (2001) 6.5/10

Since the latest film seems to be getting such good reviews, I figured it was about time I watched this film franchise. Have to say, I thought it was a decent watch. Its not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't think it deserves 5.7/10 on IMDB. Enjoyed watching it for a bit of light entertainment.

Could'nt be bothered to watch a film from the start haha so switched NOWTV on and watched what was on live, caught the end of Goodfellas then managed to watch the end of Cable Guy, both films I have seen too many times so I didnt mind lol

Chef - Good film, but made me very hungry. 7/10
