ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

however I think certain people are attempting to blur the line between your average Muslim and an ISIS terrorist - which is wrong.

Of course they are and they are given ample ammunition by the deafening silence and ambivalence from the majority. You know when women fought for their rights they chained themselves to the fences outside parliament, when our country had its freedom challenged and our neighbours threatened we went to war, and yet when Muslims have their faith perverted they grumble about how everyone just doesn't understand them.

Surely if your god is that important shout about it, fight for what you believe and the world know the idiots are wrong and let the idiots know they are wrong. Be active, be visible and most of all be effective. If you don't then you come across as not caring or just demonstrate you are truly British by just sitting at home moaning.

Maybe I am wrong but I have never heard of a large demonstration in this country where Muslims assemble en masse and say not in our name.

people see the Palestinians as ordinary muslims just like themselves and when they see them getting killed, they dont like it:p

I guess they just dont relate to ISIS.
They will see it as a problem the West created, even after 3480978943 warnings that it would create more terrorists...bush and blair went ahead anyway.

you were probably in the camp of going to war against Iraq and now it has all gone to crap because of the war....you want those who were against the war to fix it for you ? well thats how its coming across.

Actually we probably should have left it all alone in the first place. So no i wasnt in that camp.

However its a massive mess now and do we have a reponsibilty to sort it out? I think so now yes.

However wrong it was to go into iraq in 2003, how can people being massacred be the fault of the west? They commit those atrocities through their dellusion.

And im sure you fully understand the israel gaza situation as you have sat on a side. In an ideal world choosing a side and killing the other side wouldnt haven to be done. Both of them have done lets say dodgy things. Palestinians are not all plucky underdogs that are easily relatable. Nor some israelis.

Watch that video I posted, that will be a much more accurate representation of what an average British Muslim will think.

Can't we have a unified un force go in and protect the people.

Id say yes - but they tend to end up as a massive target (like iraq / afghan)
Best solution is what France did in Mali - in hard and fast, get out

Also if we keep doing everything for them (Iraq) - they will never learn to do it themselves, im hoping the change in government will mean they get their act together

the elephant in the room is where the hell is the massive well equiped Iraqi army who are perfectly capable of dealing with this issue?

The real stupidity of ISIS is that if they had formed their new country without much bloodshed - no western country would have been bothered to do anything about it. (well not they are doing much now either)

They would not be able to establish themselves without bloodshed as no one would want it. How many of so called civilian supporters do so under duress?
