Im always surprised when I see people having issues with droppers, I got my ks i950r in 2010 (or 09, I must check) and it's required nothing but a clean now and then.
These the same people that are pushing for everyone to ride 29" wheels
I see the benefit but they need more development. Read the comments on Pinkbike after every dropper post review, practically everyone complains about reliability. No product is any where close to being perfect.

Proper tracks - where?
I've done Snowdon, Ranger Path down which was pretty gnarly, but there are no climbs going down so a dropper isn't required. You climb to the top with the seat up, stop for 5 seconds to drop it, then carry on down
Same for Fort William DH
Pretty much what I was thinking - troll post.
The only reason for a dropper which I can see is Enduro Racing.

i'll be up tidworth sunday at some point, i'll keep an eye out for you.nah not yet - gonna hit some local jumps thursday night and maybe tidworth on sunday
pikes seem ace just on looks - much stiffer than the fox fork i was running
