What film did you watch last night?

True Romance 10/10

I saw this many years ago out of pure boredom. I didn't know who was in it or anything about it, I just pressed play and had no idea what to expect. It has the best scene in any film for me and the best theme tune to any film. Brilliant acting, a top cast and it's beautifully written, an absolute masterpiece imo and one of my all time favourite films.

Any love for this film or am I alone? It doesn't get enough recognition for me.

I agree completely. The script was written by Quentin Tarantino. It has a cult following. People who know movies tend to love it with a passion. Definitely under rated. The scene with Christopher Walken and Dennis hopper is one of the best in any movie I think.

REC 4 Apocalypse
Been a fan of this series so thought I'd check out the latest instalment. Same story as usual, the gore has been toned up a little more and being on a boat, the tense feeling of being trapped is transmitted across a bit better.

I liked it.

Does it wash away the utter disappointment that was part 3?

I have it to watch on DVD tonight.

Watched 50/50 last night.

I quite enjoyed it. I wouldn't class it a comedy although it does have some funny moments, but more of a light-hearted drama.

I'd say 8/10 for Imitation game as well and I preferred it to Theory. I have read there's some dramatic licence and inaccuracies in the film so I bought the book it was based on to see what they changed.

Exodus - 8/10 - Really enjoyed the film, a big fan of most Bale films as well, and he delivered again in this. Surprising as the trailer didn't really inspire me to watch it.

Grand Budapest Hotel - bored to tears after 20 minutes but persevered to the end hoping it would get better....it didn't.

Not sure how it gets 8.1 on IMDb, I'd maybe give it 5 at most, it certainly thinks it's a good film though.

You should probably avoid the remake of total recall...

Too late, I wouldn't rate it quite as bad as Robocop though, at least they paid some respects to the original and kept the three breasted women on there lol
